DCL Regenesis Labs | Bi-Weekly Community Meet-Up

This thread documents the bi-weekly Regenesis Labs community meet-up in Decentraland.

The sessions are meant to be a low-barrier space to connect, where community members can drop in, ask questions, share ideas and talk about what’s currently being built.

They’re also a place for open exchange and collaboration, helping surface community feedback, explore new ideas together and highlight projects that could grow into something bigger.

The meet-ups are hosted by @toxicwaifu (DCL Regenesis Labs Community & Comms Lead), with different Regenesis Labs team members joining regularly to share updates and join the conversation.

Beyond the grants program, the session also included a broader conversation around mobile progress, creator tooling, governance, transparency and long-term ownership.

Most of the questions connected to these topics had already been addressed on the forum ahead of the event and the remaining points are expected to be followed up on soon. We really appreciate the community’s interest and critical questions, as they help us reflect, improve and keep these conversations moving forward.

We also shared a few useful resources during the meet-up, including the Regenesis Labs transparency dashboard, the Godot Explorer GitHub repository, its open issues board, and OpenDCL, a tool that helps creators build Decentraland scenes with AI using plain language prompts. In addition, Regenesis Labs is now on X, so make sure to follow the new account here: @RegenesisLabs

I would like to point out that out of the 17 roadmap action points only 2 are DAO specific. Treasury Stratedgy and the Transparency Reports. Looking at the roadmap I can see Transparency Reports is listed as an action item at 40% progress. Can someone point me to what specifically is included in the scope of that item? Is it limited to the Regenesis Labs quarterly reports or does it include the broader DAO transparency infrastructure — the governance dashboard, the public-facing documentation, the unified accessibility issues that have been raised recently?

Just want to understand what’s actually being tracked under that 40%.

Hi @Existential14 .
I’m jumping here regarding your question about the Transparency Reports initiative.
Also, going to the bone of your question, this card/action corresponds to the quarterly reports that we are obliged to show in accordance with the initiatives approved by the DAO Council. In Fact, if you click the button “Open Full Roadmap”, you will not only see the description of this (and all) the initiatives and the timeline, but also the last two quarterly reports showcased and audited by Maryana.

Thank you for your response. I have explored further and you have answered the question that the transparency is in regards to Regenesis Labs not the DAO. I also notice from the transparency card that the metrics on the cards are empty and require a person to go further to find the reports.
The original commitment was a public transparency system. What exists is a quarterly PDF buried in a Notion roadmap that isn’t linked from the DAO website, isn’t linked from the governance portal, and requires a person to go digging through Regenesis Labs’ own site to find it.
