I am wondering if the requirements for grantees to include an acknowledgement somewhere, that they have received a grant from the Decentraland DAO is still being upheld? Those requirements are listed in the proposal link below.

Is anyone tracking long-term grantee retention? It would be nice to know the breakdown between builders who stay and continue developing in the ecosystem after their grant versus those who build, ship, and vanish. Any metrics to determine the success or failure of another grants program, IMO, would be a good thing.

  1. That governance proposal was referring to the old Grants program that was deprecated in 2024. We haven’t added that as a requirement for Regenesis Labs grantees, but I think it’s a good idea. We will add it to the upcoming grant seasons.
  2. Yes, we will track creator acquisition and retention. Some grantees that were new to DCL are currently exploring other funding opportunities in the ecosystem; we plan to report on those cases since they serve as success cases of new creator onboarding.
