We are opening a public call for candidates. We will accept applications from Monday, June 24th until Monday, July 8th, 2024 and after that, we will proceed to interview the candidates, make a pre-selection and the final selection will be done by community voting.
There is a total of 4 open spots available (2 primary members / 2 substitutes), as voted by the community and enacted here.
What is the Revocations Committee?
The Revocations Committee has the responsibility to review grants that raise concerns provided by the Community and Grant Support Squad.

When I was a child, I was working as model ripper for around 8 years, that was my hobby. I was looking for models from many games and converted them to other games, to make users be able to use them as custom modifications. Nowadays this helps me a lot with understanding of technical issues and requirements regards 3d, and detection of stolen models. With this experience I also learned a bit of programming and reverse engineering.
Nowadays, I work as Head of 3D Team at DAPPCRAFT on Decentraland, With my curation 3d team made models for scenes like Pride Parade 2022, Halloween 2022-2023, Project NAYOM1, Robot Sophia, DAO HQ, and other scenes. As member of 3d team, I do hard technical tasks like textures optimization, models optimization, final scene building, checking and correcting models of team members, complex animations, writing documentation guidelines, investigating and helping with unusual and complex tasks, and many more.

What are your reasons for wanting to be a Revocations Committee member?
I believe that Revocation Committee should hire more people that have knowledge in 3D&Animations, Programming, Developing field, to have better understanding of what was done by grantees.
I noticed several issues with grants that have huge budget for 3d and animations, but result quality of this models is low, cheap, weird. Situations when models and animations were bought from stocks, downloaded from stocks for free, or stolen from other games.

I joined Decentraland at summer of 2021 year as wearables creator and 3D Artist at DAPPCRAFT. As member of team I created my first Decentraland wearable, that was famous Coca-Cola Jacket.
At the beginning of 2022 year, I joined curation committee and became active curator.
At the beginning of 2024 year, I won grant proposal “Advanced Documentation”, and slowly moving forward with it due to deadlines on DAO HQ project.
Right now I’m building whole DAO HQ scene and maintain all things regards 3d, animations, quest items, models and textures optimization. Most of 3d designs in this project was generated by me and created by my 3d team.

What are your reasons for wanting to be a Revocations Committee member? Decisions are impactful and need to be analyzed carefully. I believe that my experience in conflict resolution will greatly benefit the community. Also acceptable working hours and fair compensation.

I’ve participated of dozens of DAO meetings (public and private) within my time here. I am also active on the forum, as of today I have viewed 1.8k topics and read 16.7k posts.

I was the one who briefly mentioned the open call in the Town Hall just in case those did not see it in the forum, but at this point applications are closed and there seems to be no more interested community members to apply.
After the interviews, a governance poll will begin.
We are writing to inform you of recent developments within the Revocation Committee (RC). Unfortunately, the only active member of the RC has recently resigned, creating a new vacancy. As a result, there are now five open positions on the RC and only four current candidates.
Given this event, we anticipate a delay in the hiring process for the new RC members. To ensure we have a robust and well-rounded committee, we are extending the application deadline for new candidates to August 9th 23.59H UTC. We strongly encourage interested and dedicated community members to apply and contribute to the continued success of Decentraland.
Additionally, the interviews for the new RC members will be handled by the Grant Support Squad DAO in collaboration with some other members from the other Core Units. We believe their involvement will ensure a transparent and thorough selection process. We will start contacting the four current candidates this week and next week to begin the interviews. Before applying, I’ve talk with some of my friends in the CBD (Community Building Decentraland) about the RC, the pros and the cons of joinning. I want to be part to be able to put to practice some of the problem solving ideas and propossals we offen talk and debate in Saturday’s CBD X Spaces.
