Hi All! I wanted to give you an update on the interview process. Iā€™m currently contacting each candidate to find a suitable time for their interview. The meetings are scheduled for next week, with available slots from Monday to Thursday, 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM UTC.

Unfortunately, I couldnā€™t reach some candidates, so if you havenā€™t heard from me yet, please contact me via email at fifi.real@decentraland.org or on Discord at fifitango to arrange your time slot. @BET @bitfiend @smph @Argent @XIII

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Hi All! We moved forward with the open call for Revocations Committee candidates. Initially, 12 people applied. Last week, we interviewed all of them to provide a space for questions and to ensure they are fit for the role. Three candidates (@tudamoon, @helpimstreaming, @web3nit) stepped down from the candidacy, and one candidate (@smph) was not considered fit after her interview due to a lack of experience participating in voting grants and knowledge about the revocation process.

The interviews were primarily conducted by Fifi, with Zino or Rikz providing support. These sessions were an opportunity to explore the responsibilities and challenges of the role, allowing candidates to learn more and decide if they wanted to continue. We also reviewed their backgrounds and participation in the DAO, aiming to build a diverse and skilled DAO Committee, with considerations for community involvement, gender, and cultural background. It was crucial to assess each candidateā€™s ability to work collaboratively, as this will be an independent committee that will need to establish its own work processes.

This week, we will ask each member to double-check their data to finalize their individual proposals. We have decided to upload all the proposals after the DAO Regenesis in Lisbon to ensure that all candidates are available to respond to any questions during the voting period. All proposals will be created during the week of September 9th as part of the election process, which will take 15 days and require 6M votes for a candidate to become an official member.

The candidates are:

  • Awjob
  • CheddarQuesso
  • XII
  • Argent
  • Bitfiend.eth
  • Vapo
  • Theankou
  • Butter

Good luck to all the candidates.

Hi All! We are about to create the hiring proposal for the community vote. But first, Iā€™ve sent an email to each candidate to check their info; otherwise, we will use the information provided here (although Iā€™d prefer not to, as some of it can be improved). Iā€™ve also requested that GovApp remove the previous Revocation Committee seats in order to create the proposal for the 8 new candidates, with 5 seats available. Hopefully, we can upload all the proposals by this Thursday. Thanks for reading!

Next steps are the following:

The 8 candidates have been officially submitted as a Hiring Proposal in the GovApp. Below, youā€™ll find the list of each candidate along with their proposal links. The final results will be announced on October 15th.

To set expectations, as you know, new proposals are being introduced to improve the DAO, which may influence whether this committee continues to exist. However, we are eager to move forward regardless of the outcome.

Please take a moment to cast your vote. Thank you!

Thanks, everyone, for your participation and patience throughout this process. Unfortunately, none of the candidates reached the threshold needed for selection. As you all know, the recent changes in the DAO will affect this committee, which likely contributed to the low participation in the vote.

We appreciate your involvement and look forward to navigating these upcoming changes together.

Best regards
FIFI
