There is a truly significant impropriety in this whole council formation process.
The DAO community is asked to vote on postulants for a council which would have significant influence over the future of the crypto-project, outstripping the decision-power that was promised to remain available in a decentralized way from VP.
But it is not being given any kind of guarantee as to the true identity of these postulants.
Neither before the vote, which is already rather outrageous, nor after the vote !
This identity is meant to be, at first, “revealed” only to the other council members and to the Foundation, not to the DAO community as a whole.
The total lack of transparency that the DAO community is expected to accept in this respect is astounding.
It does not even appear that any kind of professional-level interview will be conducted to assess the qualifications on resumes of the postulants.
I have had the opportunity to engage in direct conversation with a number of the applicants, multiple times, in DMs or directly in-world. Thus I feel well-placed to fill-in in this respect.
And so I will take it upon myself to bring to the table my professional assessment of these said qualifications.
