When you allow others to make you mad (or furious) you give them full control of you.
I think it may be possible that maybe comments you heard were not meant to offend and people that said it did not know the context (or the creator). I wondered about the design and I thought angry wheelchair lady throwing flip flops at me was fun/funny. As long as it was made in good light anyway… and seems like it was, so that’s a plus.
As a business owner (You can call me WokeManBoss) I’m not a nightmare. I am a pleasant dream. So I’ll pass on playing a game that is intended to be fun with someone that is angry and wants to “kick my virtual ass” one last time.
Having played angry flip flop lady game for about 20 minutes already the third level is pretty tough since there’s an angry lady around every corner making it impossible to hide but it was not bad. AngryLadyBoss got me good.
I think that showcasing the game for what you’ve done and requesting a grant for future development where the game is expanded to a world or bigger land so you have a ton of room to work with you could easily make a doom or wolfenstein-like fps on decentraland that, if you lay out the proper timeline, a grant is possible (for future dev work) but I think in its current state your game is more of a showcase.
Have you checked out that rat scape game? /changerealm MetadyneLabs.dcl.eth If you haven’t you should. I think it will give you ideas. I think something like this but FPS playthrough instead of portal style would be dope.
While I understand the engine you’ve made behind a functioning fps game in decentraland I just don’t see the DAO paying to own the engine or the license to use it or whatever but I can see the DAO giving you a grant to deliver more and expand your game using your engine that will, for the most part, always be yours.
Can decentraland DAO buy this from you maybe in the future? I don’t know, I think anything in the web3 space is possible. Except for this angry pay me or else approach.
I know people that have made complicated designs like this (not fps, but other functions) and the code ends up on the decentraland awesome repository.
If someone else wanted to use your engine to create something at that point you could sell usage rights of your engine to that person or maybe even back your designs and engines by an NFT project where holders have some kinda access to it. There’s a lot of options and ways for you to grow your project!
I’ll check it out again if I get time, I have a busy monday.
Have a great and productive day.
