Every Tuesday we stream our twitter spaces in DCL and talk about the most recent topics in the metaverse. You attended all our events from DJs, to artist to education conferences! You built our MT Gallery space in spatial, which trends #1 for most popular and most attraction! Spatial uses our build in their promotional content! I hope we can continue to contribute as we have been doing in DCL and build on BeatTrekkers like we do with our other activities! Thank you for the support, trust and belief in the vision! Are all payments for “Venue and Support Team” paid directly to the venues, or is the support team someone from the MT team? Is this total $24,000 instead of $26,000 to account, in advance, for the events being held at MT and not receiving funds? If there are more than 6 events at MT venue, what is the plan for the use of the additional funds?

This is roughly $55,000 being spent to promote the MT platform and the example flyer you posted does not include the Decentraland logo. If this does pass I would hope to see the fact of it being hosted in Decentraland be more prominent on marketing images. Is this a legal issue with not being allowed to display the logo without permission?

I would have preferred to have 1 series in a proposal at a time to better assess the impact at the end of the first series before renewal. There are a lot of metrics to track here and it has been difficult in the past to get clear and concise information from the MT team during the last grant, outside of the disclosures to the support squad, which are not public. Would the team be able to provide attendance metrics for all twitter spaces, pre post and main events?

Hi MT, I recall a similar proposal was created and rejected by the GSS. Following the discussion of that GSS, I note that you have answered majority of the questions posed by the GSS which leads to the GSS encouraging you to resubmit the proposal.

I have attended some of your events in Metatrekkers’ scene in Dragon City and i personally enjoyed them. I have also attended some of your Twitter spaces to discuss on Decentraland and promoting digital artists and events using Decentraland as your platform. So, from an outsider point of view, you are doing a number of fruitful stuffs leveraging on Decentraland.

Hi @MetaRyuk , Thank you for the acknowledgment of our past events. Furthermore, also fact checking to see that we answered all of GSS questions. Yes, we have answered all of GSS questions and have been 100% transparent with them. DCL is our home too and we want the best for it.

Thank you again for attending our past events. Yes, we have worked with Dragon City on several occasions. BeatTrekkers and New Years Celebration for 2 different Time Zones. New Years party was sure a challenging project because of the time difference, however we and the community loved every moment of it.

In terms of ROI back to Decentraland, how do you see this proposal, if granted and enacted, provide value to the community and the platform as a whole?

In regards to RoI for DCL these are the 9 goals we plan to carry out below:

1. Create the first metaverse tag-team DJ battle for BeatTrekkers Series 2. BeatTrekkers Series 3 will follow a different format which will be released on a later date.
2. Stream Beattrekkers Series 2 and Series 3 into other metaverse platforms, such as Spatial, to bring in new users for DCL adoption. Voting, however, will still be held in DCL.
3. Compensate at least 162 individuals including artists, venues, and hosts. Please reference the Accountability and Metric Chart for BeatTrekkers for full details.
4. MetaTrekkers will host a minimum of 130 events. Please reference the Accountability and Metric Chart for BeatTrekkers for full details.
5. Allow members to replay BeatTrekkers competitions within their parcels to provide content for parcel users and owners to assist with user acquisition and retention across the DCL platform.
6. Onboard 25% - 50% new DCL users as competing artists for BeatTrekkers Series 2 and Series 3.
7. Collaborate with 50+ new venues to allow multiple DCL parcel users/owners to benefit from this opportunity to gain visibility and exposure as well as a financial return on their investment in DCL.
8. Introduce brands to DCL, build communities, and create networks to afford new artists/DJs entering the space the opportunity for future collaborations.
9. Continue to stream BeatTrekkers on Twitch and expand streaming to include Twitter and Instagram.

Historically, MT has asked for big amounts in grants and they have been executed. As i did not attend to any of MT events back then, could you briefly share what were the challenges faced that made u unable to be able to self-sustain?

Actually before our previous grant got paused, things were going quite well, we were starting to pick up momentum, gain traction, we hosted several events in IRL, then the paused slowed us down dramatically. We are hoping that if this grant gets approved, this would navigate us back to where we once was, and to hopefully reach sustainability.

This is an easy YES! MetaTrekkers delivered a professional first round of DJ battle sessions under BeatTrekkers 1, and I can’t wait for BT2! I was involved in BT1 as a special performer and saw firsthand the energy and hard work the MT team put in to ensure all guests had a great experience in Decentraland. Because of BT, I was able to connect with other creatives in the space and got to know lots of DCL venues that I didn’t know before.

In the past, this project was attacked with baseless claims stemming from jealousy and negativity. The MT team has done an excellent job with their project, and I hope the larger community understands that this is the first DJ Battle Project in the metaverse, with style, good intentions, and hard work. It’s a very cool idea to bring together DJs, venues, and music lovers into a DJ competition series, and the MT team has executed their roadmap in a professional and successful manner. I look forward to seeing the continued growth and success of BeatTrekkers and MetaTrekkers in Decentraland!

We aren’t worried about the naysayers, out only concern are the people who believe in DCL and the Metaverse long time and want to grow in this space long term. We are here just like everyone else to build and create value!!!

Hello everyone, JCB here. I’ve been working behind the scenes for the past two years to support the growth of Decentraland, Metatrekkers and other community members.

Competition in the rapidly advancing Metaverse industry is fierce, and our platform needs to be united and strong to compete with the likes of Meta and others with unlimited resources. However, we are currently a house divided against itself, weakening us all.

We can’t afford to continue self-destructing when competitors are building stronger platforms. It’s crucial to come together as a community and create an innovative ecosystem that can compete with the best of them.

Many of these individuals causing issues are fully grown adults who wouldn’t behave this way IRL. It’s embarrassing and unproductive to entertain and/or bring this kind of behavior into the Decentraland community.

That’s why I’m here to express my support for Chris and the Beattrekkers project. They are an essential part of the Decentraland community, and their success is our success. Let’s put aside our differences and focus on the bigger picture. Together, we can build something that can change the world.
