December Status Update – DCL Regenesis Labs

Hi everyone,
Hope you all had an amazing holiday season. We at Regenesis Labs gathered together to celebrate and start planning 2026 at full speed. Here’s a family photo we took during Christmas:

Now that the year started, we’re sharing our monthly report for December 2025.

Scope: Dec 1–31

Living Roadmap: high-level goals, % complete, and brief descriptions across hiring, projects, and funding.

Hiring & Team

All the new hires we announced in November started in mid-December and are going through their onboarding phase:

Product Designer (Research & Development Team) — 5+ years in UGC platform (Decentraland competitor); will focus on sign-up flows, discovery, controls, and look-and-feel for the first public release (Q1 2026).
Bevy Developer (semi-senior) — Rust developer with Godot background; contributor to Bevy’s main repo. Focus on SDK runtime support and performance for the DCL Web client.
Godot Developer (full-time) — OG DCL builder, gamedev with experience shipping indie games. Will be focused on the front end of our mobile app.
Art Director — ex-Polygonal Mind; leads the creative vision across clients, creator tools, and experiences.

Legal & Operations

Independent audit published. The Council-commissioned audit by Maryana is live (community-backed and independent). See the audit thread here:*

Avantgard contract signed. In January, the DAO Council will finalize the Treasury Management Strategy while Avantgarde sets up the operational structure, and we will be able to execute for the first time a strategy to strengthen and stabilize the DAO Treasury. Before any operations, the Council will communicate to the community the allowed operations they will be able to execute.
Unified “one-stop” dashboard for Regenesis Labs Transparency. We’re merging the Financial Dashboard with the Living Roadmap so the community has a single place to track activity, funds, and delivery.

MANA diversification: No swaps in December.
Treasury actions: No withdrawals from the Regenesis Labs Treasury into the Operational Wallets. Stablecoin deposits from the Treasury into Gauntlet USDC & USDT curated vaults and Smokehouse/Steakhouse USDT & USDC curated vaults.

Community Testing Program (Mobile)

We launched the Community Mobile Testing Program to gather structured feedback from a closed tester group (weekly in-world sessions, focused missions, guided forms). The thread includes program scope, timelines, and application status updates:

Video Player upgrade (higher-quality playback; multi-player support).
Graphics overhaul (improved lighting, emissive/reflective materials).*
New in-game interface (cleaner navigation, refreshed navbar, faster access to Discover).
Verification code removed from mobile (UX polish continues next release).*
Emojis in text chat, HD scene UI textures, 18 FPS option for low-end phones, enhanced teleport collision, and account deletion flow from mobile.

Known issues (actively tracked)

Plaza performance/loading.
WalletConnect login (fix in progress).
Emote animations & sit emotes (scheduled for February fix).
