:busts_in_silhouette: Hiring & Team

November was a great month, we filled all the open positions we had and contributors will start working during December. We are ready to kickstart 2026 with an awesome team.

Filled in November (start in December):

Product Designer (Protocol Squad) — +5 years in UGC platforms (ex-The Sandbox); will lead end-to-end app UX for the first public release (sign-up flows, discovery, controls, look & feel) targeted for Q1 2026.

Bevy Developer (semi-senior) — Rust dev with Godot experience; contributor to Bevy’s main repo. Initial three-week work test in November; if all checks out, starts in December. Focus: SDK runtime support and performance.

Godot Developer — elevated from part-time to full-time given the critical path to ship the mobile apps by Q1 2026. Background in DCL building and game development.

Art Director (new vs. original plan) — former head of Polygonal Mind; will own the creative vision across clients, creator tools, and content/experiences. This position was not on the original hiring plan, but we condensed other roles and created this new one that will take over the creative and content responsibilities

Notes: Filling the (originally part-time) Godot role as full-time completes the hiring plan for the mobile team for this operational period.

:balance_scale: Legal & Operations

  • Contracts: All contributors are now under standard agreements with the Regenesis Labs Foundation.

  • Bylaws: No update this month; drafting continues to clarify roles/responsibilities within the DCL ecosystem.

  • Vendor contracting: Still finalizing the Avantgarde agreement for DAO treasury management; targeting closure by year-end.

“Bring Your Vibe” — Vibe Coding Hackathon (wrap-up)

Judging ran Oct 30–Nov 8 and winners were announced on Nov 9; prizes were paid from the operational wallet (see transfer). In total, 142 hackers registered on DoraHacks, 35 submitted final BUIDLs, and 29 were accepted. The cohort mixed new (≈30%), returning (≈30%), and experienced (≈40%) creators. We hit our target KPI of getting at least 25% of new creators. Over the campaign, 415 Vibe Coding emotes were claimed (~15/day). Social activity (Sep 1–Nov 10) surpassed 165 posts, ~165k views, 4.8k likes, 1.3k reposts, 700 replies.

Devconnect Buenos Aires (Nov 17–22)

  • Community dinner: ~250+ attendees, including ecosystem partners, Decentraland Foundation and Regenesis Labs contributors, and guests from the broader Ethereum ecosystem.

  • Decentraland Music Festival IRL Party: Sold out celebration in Buenos Aires, co-hosted by DCL Regenesis Labs and the Decentraland Foundation—the in-person counterpart to the in-world Music Festival festival during Devconnect week. More than 750 attendees.

  • THE CREATOR ECONOMY — Devconnect Edition (Nov 19, La Rural, Yellow Pavilion XS stage): full-day program (talks, workshops, showcases) with Decentraland as Presenting Partner; we hosted a panel with Decentraland Foundation, Regenesis Labs members, and active DCL creators (Lazaro, Mafin, Glamchain, Carlosmu), moderated by DrKrillo and GinoCT.
