when you say the dao passed this but it was passed by only a few whales who have been known to be self interested, you dont see any problem with that?
absolutely hahaha
That’s how DAO works, not only on Decentraland DAO.
You mean the wearables?) Wait for full pack, and please check our architectural modeling at the video I sent bit upper) The main focus in the Architectural Biennale is naturally on architecture
I’m sorry, but you ask us to post updates outside of the roadmap, and then you say “your results are unsatisfactory”
I had to tell you in the discord how the public roadmap works and that it is not me who updating it, but GSS
Within the framework of the DAO, we fully report and go on track - just let us do our work consistently, please, and I will stop taking everything “with hostility”
man It would have been fine to say we are waiting til sept. I never said you have to announce anything now/ never accused you of anything. You chose to share screenshots of wearables you claim are high quality that look like comically bad imo, If that is your mark of high quality I cannot believe this event will be high quality which is why I changed my vote to revoke.
Are u kiddin us with this design?
Its ugly AF
This should go through the revocation committee, to let them do DD instead of just putting it up to a vote
These are the most pathetic looking wearables I have ever seen. lol
“The content of the Biennale would be aesthetically pleasing, so we expect a lot of user generated content and media engagement”
How can we expect the finished product to be aesthetically pleasing when the wearables that have been presented so far are in fact subpar at best with at least one wearable that isn’t even an original idea?
How do you quantify this: “We expect to reach coverage of 2+m people through creators and partners social media, media releases and collaborations with influencers” and “50,000 target audience” when you only have 28 Twitter followers, 306 on LinkedIn and only 406 on Instagram?
In addition, you have not addressed various questions from the community or have been hostile toward those members who are expressing valid concerns. I voted no on this initiative and was disappointed when it was whale passed. I vote to revoke based on what little has been produced so far. This is three weeks away and you are showing elementary wearables. I can only imagine that the finished product will not live up to $115k worth of DAO grant funds.
We are absolutely going to need an explanation of this one:
Is this an official LV collab?
If not, and if this is the kind of oversight and quality we can expect from a 6-figure grant - then we should just revoke this here and now before we lower our standards even further, or worse, get gone after for copyright issues.
The overall lack of public info on who/what is being provided at the event is a red flag, and these images and wearables quality really put the nail in the coffin.
While I personally would like to see this grant revoked, I have to trust that the revocation committee will do what’s best for the DAO. This looks like a grant that is not going to deliver on what they set out to do. I hope I’m wrong.
The revocation committee can’t do anything unless the Grant Support Squad lets them.
Any member of the community can submit a proposal to revoke a grant.
This question is very much valid, and I don’t see how the options provided aren’t reasonable.
Revoke Grant " FIRST METAVERSE ARCHITECTURE BIENNALE"
This proposal is now in status: FINISHED.
Voting Results:
- Revoke 49.5% 8,769,111 VP (85 votes)
- Do not revoke 49.5% 8,787,281 VP (19 votes)
- Invalid question/options 1% 83,026 VP (7 votes)
Ah, just came to vote and seeing it was rejected by 18K VP…
don’t worry, they would have found more VP if they needed it.
Hi Community,
We have been actively reading and listening to your opinions and concerns regarding the Biennale grant, and we’ve taken actions to comprehensively understand the progress and current status of the grant, to provide you with clarity on its status. It’s important to keep in mind that the @Grant Support Squad role is not to pass judgment on the project (as it was the community’s decision to fund it), but rather to offer our support once it’s approved and to address any concerns if they arise. Up to this point, we have not identified any objective concerns that would warrant escalating this case.
Why? The project has a scheduled event date (September 21-24), and the team is working on pre-production phases 1 and 2. In both the recent update and during the meeting, the project’s progress appeared to be following a normal and logical trajectory. For more details, you are welcome to review the project’s Public Roadmap.
Note: there was a misunderstanding on the original roadmap (project has begun in july and the first milestones -pre production 1- were designed to be finished by end of august, matching the current Vesting Contract).
The project is designed to span over a period of 4 months. The Vesting Contract began at the start of August, and the team is now receiving the initial payment. Following this payment, the event is expected to take place. However, if the event does not occur as planned, then it would present a concern and it will be escalated to the Revocations Committee.
It’s important to emphasize that there are three more payments (corresponding to the VC steps) scheduled. Given this payment structure, it’s not logical to elevate the case and pause the project at this moment, but rather acknowledge our responsibility to provide you with the information to understand its status, and support our community of creators, who are contributing to build experiences in Decentraland.
We hope this message clarifies the actions we have taken and the processes in place.
Thank you and best regards,
Stealing IP for wearables and lying on target audience and coverage is not enough?
(Because come on, 50k users in 3 days? DG has less users and people have incentive to go there, even a recent big event didn’t get more than 5k unique users)
