Introduction
Hello dear Community! Metancy is here to present the first batch of updates for the First Metaverse Architecture Biennale!
The event will take place at Forest Plaza in Decentraland 21-24 of September.
We thank the Community, DCL Foundation team and the DAO for your trust and the opportunity to hold the Biennale at the highest level.
Highlights
MASTER PLAN AND ARCHITECTURE
The event will take place at Forest Plaza in Decentraland. We are actively working on the master plan of the biennale, and it is already 70% detailed. Testing and placement of trial buildings are underway. First trial with Decentraland Foundation will be held 30 of august.
We have developed a zoning system with this huge columns, and we also decorate empty areas adhering to the original idea. Logistics, portals, roads and teleports were developed. Public interactive spaces are being actively developed as you also can see on the next screenshots.
THE BUILDINGS GETTING READY
90% of participating architects have already submitted their works for integration into the plaza masterplan in Decentraland. Our team is actively working on the optimization of buildings and the layout of the common space.
OPEN CALL AND JURY COMMITTEE
We held an open call among architects worldwide and got fantastic results – 94 participants who submitted their applications with concepts and visualizations of works.
Our curators formed a jury committee, consisting of architectural and metaverse company leaders. They carefully examined and evaluated the works using the judging form.
As a result of the judging, 17 participants were selected. Along with 13 invited architects, they will decorate the Forest Plaza in Decentraland with their works and present their original world in W3rlds.

COMMUNITY & MEDIA
At the moment, we can say that the architectural and design community very much liked the idea of the Biennale.
We are well supported by DesignBoom, and largely thanks to their first publications, we received so many applications and attention from studios worldwide.
Other media and influencers gladly picked up the news about the biennale. Recently the announcement was posted on worldarchitecture.org nad parametric-architecture, for example. We also pay for a service for the distribution of newswire content, which also helps to collect good coverage.
Many participants, juries, and guests of the biennale have already told their subscribers about their participation, and we, in turn, have prepared cool templates for them.
So far, we have not summed up the interim results regarding coverage, but we can safely say that millions of people are interested in architecture, design, web3, and metaverse.

Next steps
Our next steps are quite well outlined in the Public Roadmap published by Grant Support Squad.
It also shows that we are going well according to plan and are even doing over to ensure that the Biennale is held at the highest level.
