Something to clarify
Hey @InJesterr , if you reread our proposal, we have told the revocations committee to consider recreating a new vesting contract to give you time to finish the project and that was the conclusion of the RC. So please don’t make false accusations.
It would remain to be defined by the @revocationcommitee whether the project will continue to be monitored by the GSS during these months or not.
Thank you.
What is a false accusation here @Zino ?
Its the truth, if you did not send it to the revocation comittee we wouldn’t need a new contract.
This is not even an accusation its telling a objective matter…
What accusation?? Please quote Injesterr’s sentence what you consider accusation.
The Grant Support Squad can monitor the project during the next two month
Also, as @InJesterr has solicited in the past to change the Grant Manager of his project, @fifitango will be the person in charge.

Yes we get the full pay- out 8500$ vesting in 2 months and 16500$ one time payment.
Hi @InJesterr and @didiimakiii
Tomorrow, we have our first check-in on your new vesting contract. We understand your discomfort, and we are transitioning the grant manager to support you in succeeding with this extension of the project through a new vesting contract and final payment if you adhere to the roadmap.
Before I fully engage on your side as your new Grant Manager, I want to clarify your recent comments and actions against the Grant Support Squad, of which I am a part.
Allow me to provide some context for your last comments in this thread about the @revocationcommitee resolution and process. So @didiimakiii asked which sentence was a false accusation, and @InJesterr mentioned that it’s an objective matter over this message:
‘If the GSS did a fact check on these points before suggesting it to the revocation committee, we wouldn’t need a change in the contract.’
However, you imply that we should have checked your last-minute updates on your game after we had two testing sessions with the community (2023-09-19 and 2023-09-28). The decision to send it to the revocation committee was an option after the first session, but we decided to give you another chance and waited until the second one; the picture was no better, and the testers agreed on that too. At that point, your vesting contract had only a month left, and it wasn’t only the bugs that needed fixing; there were other goals in your roadmap to complete. The project wasn’t on track in the last month, but the final decision lies with the @revocationcommitee on what to do next, so we had to act in time to give them the necessary information, and they arrived at the same conclusion: “the game is not on track, but we believe it could be completed.”
So, why are you alleging that this could have been prevented if Grant Support Squad checked once again before send it to the revocation committee? It seems like you imply that you wanted us to do extra work to align with your last-minute resolutions to complete the game. It seems like you are now challenging us, and it felt very draining. However, I was the one who offered you another session to have time to prepare better (after 25 sessions; this was my first time in this situation). I genuinely want to help you when the process allows me to do so. I’m hoping for a better relationship during these months
I’m sorry if you felt unsupported in that stressful moment. It’s difficult to entirely prevent anyone from feeling uneasy, especially when money is involved. Please understand our position regarding the Revocation process voted on by the community. In the end, you got a good deal, and I hope you succeed in making a great game for Decentraland.
So, I’m very open to supporting you as your Grant Manager. I really do, but let’s calm down the discussion and focus together on your new deal.
Thanks for reading, talk to you soon
FIFI.
Hello fifi,
I don’t think when we keep talking about what went wrong is the right thing to do, we all got to move forward because if this continues we will keep disagreeing with each other and it will keep hurting each other and there is absolutely no need for that.
I might have overreacted under the gss resubmission but I still think the grant is too expensive for the dao.
When I review your roadmap I see that there is no need for a handful of thing the gss included in the budget.
- Advisors should be the same as team compensation and not be done seperately.
- Traveling budget sounds a bit off when all the task in the roadmap are things you can do behind your laptop. So I dont see why the GSS needs to attend at web3 conferenses to gather knowledge we don’t need.
- The compensation rate is too high for 90k every 6 months, I personally can assemble a team of 5 people for 1 full year for 60k.
but still don’t feel discouraged those are just my arguments, your proposal isn’t finished yet who knows other people might change their mind.
Goodluck and cya on the meeting🥂
Hi @InJesterr, thanks for your reply. I’m glad that we could move forward. I think you have the right to speak out in our proposal; I was only worried about the tone. See you in a bit!
Today, we had our Monthly Meeting with @InJesterr and @didiimakiii from Duel Arena, and the project is on TRACK. They showcased progress since the last testing session for the current vesting contract, and we reviewed the demo, including the completion of Wearables UI, New Storytelling with MPC, and Battle P2P. They actively listened to community feedback, and while they are still working on improvements for P2P Battle and minor visual bugs, overall, everything looks good.
The grantees inquired about the last payment for marketing, and we revisited the revocation committee’s decision together. My suggestion is to seek approval from the DAO Revocation Committee for the game’s quality, based on the initial proposal, by the next Tuesday, 28th of November. After that, request the DAO Committee to finalize the last payment commitment. I would like to confirm with the @revocationcommitee the best process for obtaining this confirmation—whether it’s through a meeting, voting, or another method. I’ve also created a card with your points to keep in mind during the checking: RC Notes
About the method for the last payment, I want to confirm with the DAO Committee @rizk @Tobik @HPrivakos what options will be available. Will it be a direct transfer of funds, or will it involve a new vesting contract for a 1-month duration with a step of 30 days?
Other discussions included Impact Metrics Review, with the understanding that metrics will be delivered after receiving the marketing funds. We agreed to have metrics provided four times: in the first three months (January, February, March 2024) and at the end of Q2 (July 2024). GSS will set up email reminders for them to publicize metrics as comments in their forum from this proposal.
Additionally, we checked their GovApp Update and updated their Public Roadmap.
Action Items:
- Duel Arena: Finish P2P improvements and minor bugs.
- GSS: Confirm the process with the revocation committee.
- GSS and Duel Arena: Understand the details of the last payment.
Next Steps:
- Set a meeting to confirm their progress.
- GSS to run the exit final step from the DCL Grant’s Program.
- Create email reminders for gathering metrics for this project.
Thank you again @InJesterr and @didiimakiii for meeting us. Congratulations on the great progress!
We can do any as long as the vesting duration is not reduced, so if the vesting shoud already be finished we can do one time payment
Hello! @InJesterr asked me about when they will have the remaining funds. I am proposing to schedule a final check-in for the game on December 20th with the RC, GSS, and Duel Arena team. During this meeting, they can showcase their progress. After the check-in, the revocation committee will consider requesting the DAO Committee to release the remaining funds. To answer the question of when, that will happen sometime after the checking.
I am suggesting this date because the @revocationcommitee posted on October 21st, requesting a 2-month vesting contract for the team to finish development. There might have been some confusion as the new vesting was enacted for October 1 and ends on December 1, instead of starting on November 1. However, this allowed Duel Arena to release funds on November 1. If the vesting contract had begun on November 1, the funds would be released on December 1.
Considering that @dax checked the project this week and there is still room for improvement, I believe it’s better to keep December 20th as the date for the final check. If @InJesterr and @didiimakiii feel that the game is truly complete earlier in December, we can consider an earlier date. However, please note that this will be a one-time and final check, and if the game is not complete, there may be a risk of not receiving the marketing funds. Please let me know if you all agree on December 20th. Have a great weekend. FIFI
Hey fifi, I believe we have completed all the promises from the roadmap as we checked together. Whats left are extras, but still I was only waiting for an clear answer now that I got this i’m okay with December 20th. This way we can work accordingly and wanna thank you for the clarification!
Lets schedule a time for the 20th, This will be the formal release + presentation date then and we as a team will do the test with our own community before this date to assure this time that its free from major bugs. hope we can start our collaborations and events righ after.
About this lets have a small meeting before 20th where I wan’t to request from you what the revocation comittee expects precisely and objectively, so that we avoid any miscommunications with each other and that we can finally move on to the next steps.
I know @dax told me to implement a bit lore to the game and I believe this can be done. but lets dive into this a bit deeper so we know what to actually do to get our right to our final funds.
The way I got it is like adding to lore to NPCs to the game through chatting with the NPCs. So we will release an update with this in the next version.
I posted the exact lines that we have already made to the npcs in our DAO channel.
Hello @InJesterr,
Great! Thanks for the update on the project’s progress. I will schedule the meeting on December 20th between Duel Arena and the Revocation Committee. @dax, I’m tagging you, but please feel free to invite other members of the @revocationcommitee as well.
Regarding Injester’s request to have a clear understanding of the requirements to meet the committee’s expectations, I will suggest to @dax to define this here to avoid any potential miscommunications.
I can join a meeting to support you in checking these things beforehand, but I’m not the one who will check them later.
Please keep in mind that this process is new due to these cases, so let’s all think together about what is fair and simple for everyone.
Let me know your thoughts.
FIFI
Hey, let me check with others and I will come back to you about requirements - as for the 20th, that’s fine for me if it’s in the day time European time (before 17h)!
edit:
Regarding requirements, this is what we stated in the original revocation committee report:
Remaining issues with gameplay :
- It’s difficult to understand what to do - this is also to be addressed but not yet implemented.
- There is no gameplay loop to speak of - what keeps the player engaged and wanting to play? This is extremely important in game design and needs to be given high priority.
- There is also no narrative / story element to the game - and for a game to be immersive we expect some level of this. Adding some game lore would go a long way here.
So i believe these points are what need to be checked off.
- Can a new user come into the game without anyone to assist them and successfully play the game based on in-game tutorials?
- Has the game loop been defined? This need not be complex, but it’s critical. in platform games, the loop is “complete a level; complete the next level”. In FPS games, the loop is “find an enemy and eliminate them; find another enemy” or “complete a quest objective, turn in the quest objective, get another quest”. In RPG games, the loop revolves around leveling up your character. Once this is understood it must be implemented so that players find an engaging experience.
- Jester has shown me some narrative elements that he plans to introduce so i believe that is well understood.
Hey @dax I will definetely show how we worked around the suggestions at the 20th, although in my opinion we have finished the proposals promises/roadmap. I still believe it’s important to take these suggestions as important as what we promised.
I am confident that objectively we have implemented all the suggestions, but we can definetely improve based on the communities judgement. We have proven that we are able to do all this for now we are going to get ready for the 20th make sure every flaw has been worked on.
- Can a new user come into the game without anyone to assist them and successfully play the game based on in-game tutorials?
- Just updated the NPC’s on our meeting I will show how they have both game- lore and are able to explain the game very well
- Has the game loop been defined? This need not be complex, but it’s critical. in platform games, the loop is “complete a level; complete the next level”. In FPS games, the loop is “find an enemy and eliminate them; find another enemy” or “complete a quest objective, turn in the quest objective, get another quest”. In RPG games, the loop revolves around leveling up your character. Once this is understood it must be implemented so that players find an engaging experience.
- For now what we have based on the proposal is a turn based strategy game, The loop is subjective to judge to be honest, for an average gamer it should be easy to understand to: Defeat Enemies > Get Rewards > Buy Assets > Repeat.
- Jester has shown me some narrative elements that he plans to introduce so i believe that is well understood.
- Yes I do, but it can be judged subjective to.
Based on Update version we are going to update the story too like going forward in time.
The first part has been deployed with the NPCs later on we will continue introducing quests to learn more about the game. This gives it a interesting twist.
Additionally we have imported some Jester Wearables from my own collection to give more rewards to the community and we are also planning on releasing the 4 extra Duel Arena Themed wearables this month, which I just finished and tested.
Right now we have a total of 4 themed wearable rewards and 4 jester themed wearables.
After this release we will have 8 Duel arena wearables total!
After meeting with @fifitango @Zino @dax @injesterr and @didiimakiii today, we’d like to recommend that the DAO Committee (@hprivakos @rizk @Tobik) create a new one-time transfer in the amount of 16,500 USD to the beneficiary address of this grant.
Hello Everyone,
I am happy to announce that we have finished to project we have done everything as promised and even added alot of suggestion the community made along the progress, keep in mind that we finished everything for release only, this doesn’t mean we will stop improving and adding more features but for now our most important goals is to add more assets to reward players with and market the game accordingy!
Feel free to contact me or the Team on discord to submit your suggestion and we will find a way to add these! Discord Link here
We will host events and start marketing progress don’t be sad if you missed the Release Party because there will be many more other events you can attend at!
Weekly events are every sunday and we will do our best to entertain both the gamers and the people that just want to chill and hang around!

I want to thank the community for all the support! Especially big thanks to the @revocationcommitee for a fair process which restored alot of faith for me personally in the DAO <3
Hello Folks! I’m back from holiday and just checking everything is okay here. @rizk , I would love to know if the last payment occurred correctly and if there is any way to show that payment in the vesting contract section?
Thank you so much! FIFI
