I’m going to leave the previous reply up because I fear nothing and bow to no one, but between when I made that reply and now, seanny and I have actually talked both on Canessa/Sinful’s weekly Twitter space, and in Twitter DMs. I find it interesting that seanny’s one of the more vocal advocates of DAO reform, to prevent situations like this in the future (In the case of an actual malicious actor looking to conduct what amounts to DAO heists), and it makes me hopeful that this was all a series of misunderstandings stacked hyperdimensionally and that we can all get along.

The Grant Support Squad was created to support the grantees in achieving their goals and taking care of the DAO treasury. In this opportunity, I want to draw your attention to the following points in this grant proposal.
First of all, I want to thank Decentrland Comedy Team for being always so responsive and collaborative. I don´t have doubts that they are working however the project is losing focus; that´s why I want to clarify the status of this project and a solution proposed solution.
Goal 1) Market Decentraland as the ONLY Hub for Comedy in the Metaverse.
As we have talked with the grantee, this is an ambitious goal but would be great to accomplish. They wrote in the update2 “Promoting the “Backstage at Skankfest” event to comedy fans in the Skankfest and Web 3 universe”, however, we couldn´t see any marketing campaign in your social media yet.

In their landing page there is a section called “events” and it published 3 events, but during the time that the events occurred, only 3 unique users jumped into the location published (102 ; - 31).
And from April 29 to November 26 there were only 52 users in your parcels (101-33 / 102-33).
This information proves my point, that goal 1 is very ambitious and the team needs to focus on their marketing campaign if want to accomplish the goal.
So, we recommend that the DCL Comedy team has to design a strong marketing campaign, and if they are not familiar with this topic, we or the community could recommend a community manager or an expert in the field.
Last but not least, Decentral Comedy doesn’t appear in the Skanfest social media either or their hashtags https://skankfest.com/ https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/skankfestvegas/
In short, we are not seeing any advance regarding this goal.
Goal 2) Decentral Comedy will have behind-the-scenes access with our very own film crew (including a VR cameraman) to capture a behind-the-scenes experience to be streamed as content into Decentraland - The Decentraland Backstage Pass.
To make this happen the team promised:
“Content Streaming + Video Capture: $23,500 We will have a full team onsite to capture content exclusively for Decentraland capturing content (which in turn will encourage the attendee and GAS digital fans to find and try DCL to access that footage) we will also be capturing content with a 3D camera for future use once DCL introduces VR capabilities. Our team will then be executing all postproduction which includes editing, mixing/mastering, and color correction to debut the exclusive content in DCL”, something that was highlighted in update #2 “we will also be capturing content with a 3D camera for future use once DCL introduces VR capabilities. We are into month 3 and the community didn´t see anything of this post-production, something that we recommend, the last month to do it as soon as possible.
Goal 3) An onboarding station for both comics and fans to personally walk them through the experience of what Decentraland has to offer.
According to our recommendation in the last monthly call, you wrote in update#3 how was the steps by steps on the onboarding process. Congratulations!.
On the other hand, according to your last updates, your original roadmap has considerable changes.
First, this month should be launched The Skankfest DCL experience but now this would be in December (at least is what you have written).
Second, according to #update 3, Comedy has a new roadmap with different goals than what you proposed. We are aware that all the projects could have some changes regarding the original proposal; however, the changes should be to accomplish the principal’s goals voted for by the community. In this particular case, the community doesn´t vote for what is written in update#3.
In conclusion, we recommend that the DAO Committee (@yemel @HPrivakos) should pause the vesting contract until the Grantee could show the deliverables and accomplish the following:
Present the marketing campaign manual to accomplish goal 1 (steps by steps).
Present the results of goal 2 (in videos, photos, and social media publishing)
The deadline day to delivery will be February 2023.

Where is Decentral Comedy to provide the deliverables to defend themselves to the committee? Since the content they captured is proprietary, I would assume it isn’t in public forums.
I am not clear on the process from accusation to final decision by the committee to take action on something like this. I haven’t been able to get a clear answer, which is concerning with so much on the line for any project in this situation. These decisions can make or break a project/company and shouldn’t be taken lightly.
Could the committee please provide some clarity on the process that leads to a live grant getting paused and/or revoked? Thank you.
If you cannot prove that the grant is being worked on, then it will be paused.
It’s not revoked, they will get the money if they deliver, but we cannot let them claim the money on the basis of “trust us, we will deliver” and notice at the end of the grant when everything was claimed that they were not actually doing anything under the cover of “It’s proprietary”.
This is all substantive. While this decision is backed by circumstantial evidence, I do believe due process is important. Can you point me in the direction of where I can find these procedures?

a. After a successful 2022 MIC DROP Festival Decentral Comedy is bringing back the biggest comedy festival in the Metaverse to Decentraland. MIC DROP 2023 will showcase two days of comedy, including Stand-up/Podcasts and a special showcase dedicated to “Skankfest Backstage Pass” - hosted by comedians Tyler Morrison and John Moses.
