Thanks for your valuable feedback. Our intention is to prioritize live performances rather than pre-recorded sets for the event. However, we do acknowledge that certain community-nominated opening acts may face logistical constraints that prevent them from performing live. In such cases, they will have the option to present a pre-recorded set, ensuring their inclusion in the event. Regarding the live streaming, we have relationships with multiple reputable service providers with ample experience in DCL who can deliver exceptional streaming quality for the event. This will be allocated from the Builds (Interactive Performance) budget.
Thanks for your feedback. Our team brings a lot of experience in concert and festival production from the past two years of working in Decentraland, as well as years of production and marketing experience in the traditional music industry. This investment is for a five-month runway as the festival will take place in November, and the majority of the budget will go to the artists booked to perform, including openers nominated by the community.
In addition to our core initiatives, our team is highly engaged in community organizing. We held our first Twitter Space last week and will be hosting more this week. I encourage you to explore the videos in the proposal showcasing the successful execution of our team’s previous events, including Gaian at MVFW and Limewire at MVMF, demonstrating the quality of our work in Decentraland.
Our team is building the event to accommodate large viewership to the fullest extent possible in Decentraland. Our primary venue, Spottieland, is working with Mr. Dhingea who is a leading builder to optimize the builds and implement past experience to create scenes that are easily loadable. Regarding the live streaming, we have relationships with multiple reputable service providers with ample experience in DCL who can deliver exceptional streaming quality for the event. There are no corporate sponsors involved yet. If and when we are successful in onboarding sponsors, those sponsorship dollars would go toward marketing to create as much awareness, press and conversation about Decentraland and the festival as possible.
I’d like to reiterate that the All Time High Festival is not a pillar event. We are totally independent and working to build with the community and for the community.
We really appreciate your feedback and everything you do for the community, thanks for your consideration!
Regarding the budget breakdown, we understand the importance of transparency and accountability. If there are specific areas where you would like further clarification, we would be more than happy to share as much information as we can at this stage of the planning process.
In terms of technical operations, we have a team of professionals on our team with a proven track record of producing concerts and festivals in live virtual environments. We will take proactive measures by planning and developing an easily loadable event infrastructure, and we’re confident in our ability to address potential technical issues.

While long-term sustainability is a valid concern for any event, we have taken it into account from the inception of our proposal. By creating a successful event for DCL we plan to attract sponsors and other partners for future festivals.
We appreciate your mention of previous festivals in Decentraland and the challenges they’ve faced in terms of user engagement and retention. However, it is essential to note that our proposed gamified music festival takes a unique approach that distinguishes it from previous events.By gamifying the festival experience and providing interactive elements, we aim to create an immersive and captivating environment that encourages active participation and fosters long-term user retention.
You should probably know he’s not as universally beloved as he might like to advertise, and there are people who would vote no on this prop simply because he’s your collaborative partner.
Tough one here for me tbh. Bun B is a legend where I’m from (TX), grew up w the mixtapes, and have met him personally in the past in passing, through my Creative Direction jobs. I know Spottie can put on a good show. I also do appreciate how GAIAN has stayed in the space and not been one of those brands thats did a drop and then dipped.
But with all that, I have a hard time wanting to support this proposal. Not that I don’t believe in a sick fest, esp the subject matter and the talent involved. Like the creative is all there for me.
It’s just if you knew how much the community has been grinding (and it feels like we JUST got the opportunity to be involved in large events the last few) to get the shine they deserve — I think you’d understand the let down it was for some to see this proposal. And then to learn some of the information here in the comments. Amplifies that.
It is a special privilege to know that information before hand, and then to have Foundation invite you into the month before anyone knew, is exactly that. Regardless of how the intentions we’re not to come across that way. People expect transparency here for sure.
I think this was a missed opportunity to involve so many talented people who have been building and pushing the creativity of this space. Amplify what the year of the creators really looks like. Game Devs, modelers, creatives, content creators, etc. and OFC the DJs/musicians here.
I also don’t agree with some of the costs, like almost half going to the small team building/creating, and covering wearable fees, etc.
I wish you luck in your endeavors, but I will be voting no.
After much conversation with Spottie, I’m confident that the team is committed to music and community in Decentraland. I’m excited to attach my name to the team and offer support to ensure that the DCL community continues to be heard leading up to, during, and after the event. My commitment to the growth of live music in DCL absolutely aligns with Spottie’s vision.
If anyone has any questions about the role I’ve taken as All Time High Fest Program Director, I’m happy to answer here or in DMs.
Thank you so much for your partnership and collaboration, Shelley! Your experience and expertise in producing hundreds of LIVE concerts in Decentraland is a major resource moving forward and we are excited to be working with the best!
For anyone that missed the surprise announcement on Twitter Spaces last night, please check out the recording and follow us on Twitter (@AllTimeHighFest) as we will be hosting daily Spaces the next few days to continue the conversation with the community.
Quick clarification here, we are not planning to sell any wearables or emotes that are funded by a DAO grant. Wearables and Emotes budget in our grant proposal are for free prizes, rewards, claims, and giveaways - and we will work with the community and thought leaders to ensure those dollars are an investment in the amazing creators that have helped make Decentraland the vibrant space that it is today, by partnering with some of the most dedicated wearables and emotes creators in the community.
Cc’ing @mattimus and @NikkiFuego for visibility as you both shared great feedback regarding wearables and emotes.
Thanks to everyone who has shared the gift of feedback over the past week - we’ve had some great conversations and really appreciate your energy and enthusiasm. Today we’re thrilled to announce the addition of some amazing community members to our leadership team:
Shelley Van (Program Director) has produced 600+ live shows in Decentraland and will lead our stage management and scheduling.
Tangpoko (Community & Curation) the metaverse dream girl herself will be curating a stage during the fest and ensuring that the fest is a welcoming and inclusive space for all attendees and participants.
CJ Trax (Music & Creative) one of the hardest working DJs in the metaverse will be co-hosting our weekly party every Tuesday (6-8pm EST) beginning July 25 at Spottie Labs HQ in Decentraland.
SinfulMeatStick (Official Streaming Partner) is one of Decentraland’s most active streamers on Twitch and will broadcast the festival live to their followers and subscribers.
Murphjestic (User Experience) and the team at Decentral Games have built some of the most engaging experiences in all of Decentraland, and Murph will lead our User Experience strategy.
Eddie Visual (Live Visual) has produced live concerts and tours for some of music’s biggest acts, and will produce/film our live headliner performances.
For more info on our team, please check out this tweet thread and be sure to follow us and turn on notifications, as we will be hosting daily Twitter Spaces for the next several days to continue developing this festival together as a community.
This request is large, and esp right off the bat. I know you have a name for yourself, but that means nothing at least for me. I would like to see events hosted for at least a year before the DAO shells out funds this large. The right thing to do is put some leg work. Also Adding trusted community members to your proposal shorty after… ekkk NO for me.
Also you have 109k worth in your metamask. People in this community working hard dont even have 1% of that. You can easily start investing and reallocating to support your project if you truly believe in what your building.
… Id like to see your spotworld poppin before asking for a dime.
