ETHCOUPLE is a community project focused on mass adoption of a decentralized metaverse. Our simple mission: help every crypto builder bring their partner into Decentraland—turning “crypto alone” into “crypto together.”

My involvement with Decentraland:

  • Speaker, Decentraland Community Summit 2024 (Buenos Aires). We spoke about how to bring your partner into DCL and why partners-first onboarding matters for DCL’s growth. Proof of participation: our Summit post on X. decentraland.orgX (formerly Twitter)

  • For this talk, ETHCOUPLE received travel support from the Decentraland DAO via the Summit scholarship initiative (DAO main sponsor grant; flights for scholarship recipients were covered/organized). decentraland.org+1

  • We host “bring-your-partner to DCL” themed meetups and publish approachable first-session flows (wallet → name → first jump-in), aimed at non-crypto partners.

  • We’ll continue to contribute bilingual (EN/JP) explainers and hands-on sessions for true first-timers.

  • We also donated a Decentraland-branded 3DNS domain to the Decentraland Foundation for protecting the domain; transfer executed from our address on OP Mainnet (tx: Link).

My reasons for wanting to be a delegate:

  • Partners-first onboarding. Too many crypto workers haven’t even onboarded their partners. We’ll champion proposals that reduce the first hour friction (no jargon, clear wayfinding, social anchors).

  • Metaverse has real pull. Recent Decentraland × SheFi activations (Career Quest) show that well-framed programs attract newcomers; we want to scale these on-ramps.

  • Outcome-oriented grants. Prioritize small, testable grants tied to onboarding KPIs (first-week retention, “+1 partner” conversions, return visits).

  • Welcoming culture. Encourage inclusive events, safety guidelines, and starter scene templates for first-timers.

My 5-year vision for Decentraland:

Decentraland is the most battle-tested open metaverse—multi-client, mobile-friendly, and creator-sustainable—where non-crypto partners can join in minutes and stay for culture, learning, and jobs, not just speculation.

What do you think is the most important issue in Decentraland? (12–24 months):

  1. First-session UX (from link-click to “I’m with my partner/friend/family now”).

  2. Grants ROI focused on retention & partner conversions.

  3. Discoverability of beginner-friendly places & events.

  4. Client accessibility (mobile / low-spec paths) to widen the top of funnel.

  5. Clear governance comms so newcomers understand what the DAO can do and how to participate.
