Hey, just commenting to point out that Dice Masters hasn’t received any grants. Back-end was there from day 2 or 3 and the whole game was built in 1 week with the past week focused on testing and troubleshooting. Fully optimized front-end with completely built scene, assets w/ animations, and back-end data persistence for 6 values (wood, iron, chickens, enemies, level, and exp) done week one. All done by 2 people. We hold an AMA every week if you would like to see what we are doing ![]()
We are even able to craft items using resources you gather from the game and starting our first quest soon. Come check it out, its crazy what you can do in a couple weeks.
One more thing about the “low quality”, take a look at Dice Masters, thats 25 mb for all of those assets, fully optimized low-poly assets. We only have 135mb and could deploy basically whatever we want. If you have 100 parcels you have a limit of 1500mb… If you have 4 professional 3d designers they should have no problem creating high quality models for your game.
