Introduction

Hello Decentraland community! It’s great to be back with an update on our Dhingia Builds HQ project. I’m excited to share the progress we’ve made and the improvements we’ve brought to our experience.

We’re excited about the momentum we’ve built, and every day brings new opportunities. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue shaping Dhingia Builds HQ into a hub of creativity, interaction, and endless possibilities.

Highlights

  1. Enhanced Visuals: We’ve revamped the old DhingiaBuildsHQ with better visuals and attention to detail, making it a more immersive space. Completely revamped the models and the textures to give the required look and feel.

  2. Upgraded to SDK 7: We’ve transitioned to Decentraland’s SDK 7, enhancing the interactive elements within the HQ for a smoother user experience. This comprehensive upgrade encompasses teleporters, video screens, robot NPCs, and more, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for you.

  3. Tech Foundations: We’ve set up the backend server and a database to efficiently manage player data and real-time information. This setup guarantees a smooth and efficient experience.

  4. Resource Collection: We present you the inaugural line of resources, aptly named elementals - Pyro, Aero, and Aquad. We have crafted a resource spawning system which functions such that resources are strategically spawning within the HQ all the time, at regular intervals.

  5. Inventory System: We’ve created an inventory management system to manage collected resources and allow easy storing and retrieval of inventory data from the server along with interactions with each player. A user-friendly UI has also been created which will display an intuitive view of inventory items with descriptions and quantities.

  6. Builder Bot 2.0: Our latest creation, the Builder Bot 2.0, enables players to soar through the skies of Decentraland. Beyond exploration, the Builder Bot 2.0 unlocks exclusive resource collection opportunities, giving you a competitive edge. The overwhelmingly positive response is a testament to its game-changing impact, with over 2200 MANA worth of Builder Bot 2.0s sold within days of launch.

  7. Community Involvement: Within the confines of The Builds HQ, a development spanning 64 parcels, we are actively participating by providing the community with 2x1 parcels of land encircling the headquarters. This initiative aims to cultivate a sense of collaboration among community members. Furthermore, we orchestrated a preliminary event marked by a live performance from DJ Trax held at the headquarters. This event garnered significant engagement, attracting a crowd of over 70+ enthusiastic individuals. Additionally, an emotive launch event took place on Isa’s Arabic build located within the HQ, featuring DJ Category 5 and attended by more than 80 people.

Next steps

Next steps include the launch of the crafting machines, which are currently being internal testing for now. These machines will allow the users to convert the resources they have been collecting into useful stuff, like builds and wearables. Also we will be focusing on creating a quest and challenges system to provide even more interactive experience to the users and keep the user traction.
