Should the following $40,000 grant in the In-World Content category be approved?
Abstract
My weed farm robbery brought in concepts popular on other gaming platforms and is a smashing success - consistently on the top 50 scenes every day. Let’s bring more popular roblox-like concepts to DCL for the win. I will make a multiplayer bingo smart wearable with price set to zero with maximum number of copies. The smart wearable will allow anyone in Decentraland to host bingo game or join existing game.
Requirements:
Upon activation user can only select host game if no other players seen.
If host seen user can join existing game or spawn separate game.
Host control timing and number of rounds by clicking ‘draw’ button or ‘end game’ button.
--helps facilitate streaming, giving prizes etc
--facilitate variety of scenes for instance if users create scene to show all numbers drawn so far on billboards to match
--in addition some plays may want to use voice chat feature to host game anywhere
Host click ‘Draw’ button draws random (unused) bingo number.
Player has randomly assigned standard bingo card (not British)
--player can see the cards and progress markings of other participants of the game they have joined as 3d objects
-—probably over players’ heads for better visibility than seen in roblox
--player can see and mark their card (either as 2d UI or 3D object depend which work more smoothly)
--player can select between manual marking and auto
--software only allow a valid marking and bingo claim
--when player win will shout bingo audio and play celebration emote
--when the winner is you, some extra celebration noise and visualizations will be displayed
--2D UI shows winner name
Nice to have feature will strive for:
Trigger marking emote (if 3d card)
Maybe:
Allow host to specify NFT GUID required for game entry
Auto draw game (timed host draw button)
Will not include:
Multiple cards per player
Roadmap and milestones
I will maintain a new land where progress can be monitored in-world since the smart wearable is so similar to scene code. As the game progresses folks can pop out to help beta test and work out any bugs. Phase 1 - basic multiplayer mechanics testing joining a game, acting as host, test multiple games in 1 scene scenario. Phase 2 - random number drawings and bingo card as sloppy text blob with auto marking, test winning feature, marking. Phase 3 make it look nice and hone in on completion, manual markings feature, triggering emotes and sounds. Phase 4 convert to smart wearable.
You have been so rude in your previous proposals and complaining over all grants lately that “if my amazing game can’t get a grant, neither should them”, that I have no interest in voting yes for you to get a grant.
You may have misread the grant text. The grant is to make software that will improve the metrics of Decentraland and benefit all Mana/Land holders and help everyone sell more wearables as a result. The grant is not to be polite or be friends with any certain person (in the past). Do you mean to say that all the grants are actually just to be friends with delegates? I hope you will honor your fiduciary responsibility with a yes vote for one of the proven top developers of Decentraland.
In 2024 I’m a changed man - super nice and polite even when get a million defund vote from anyone who did not even play the game. You can see I’m being nice and polite not mention any certain adult products or nicknames of the forgotten past. In 2023 the actual game players of DCL who we’re trying to bring in know me as someone helpful in teaching them how to play games, as top producer of fun, or maybe see me at party etc. Only those who cause financial harm know me as someone rude. Does it mean DAO delegates are the only people REALLY in Decentraland? I know this is not true because of those people who visit the farm daily.
I appreciate your support. I just wrote this because Nathan hinted to me DCL wants this game then vote against it still. Maybe want this game but only for free IDK. Of course I can make this game for DCL, it has a lot of similar components to my laser tag under the hood, but I’m tapped out on freebies. I may have to delete this - will see I may partnering with in-world anonymous group. It’s bidding against non-DCL folks who want my time too. With the criticisms a lot of them are shared by 99.9999% of the outside world. I guess I’m still here because some platform like steam really doesn’t need my help. To be successful I believe it can only be through listening to those criticism and make those improvements in adjustments accordingly. Just like how I adjusted for new year resolution to be super nice in 2024. The old OGCB would have been speculating maybe someone got a grant already that cannot implement, or maybe casino bosses wants this code. In 2024 I won’t even say mob in talking about the old me. The transform is amazing and the transform on DCL can be to, we can do this! With weed farm robbery and bingo everywhere implemented (with DAO grant) what can the visitors or myself even complain about? Developers everywhere will be rushing to show their skill on SDK7 in hope they can reach the OGCB level.

I have played your game against you, have supported you in now buying the latest laser tag gun but why are you being so negative even against me tagging me on Twitter. You know I have not been negative but man please chill out. I think you have something going with laser tag, I mean it is kind fun, but relax.
Whaaaa?? Not in 2024, that was last year. In 2024 I only posted a couple cool demos with the real Decentraland customers, some great user metrics of how I improved the neighborhood where I’m at in 27,24 now. It’s all happy this year see
You know what bothers me, it looks more like you are bringing up ideas just for the money and not to build, the reason why I have this strong feeling is because you are keep asking 40,000$ for 2 different projects, and when the other project got rejected you made a new one for the exact same amount.
This gives me the feeling you are here for the money and the money only…
My advice to you, is build a project that you think will contribute in metrics to Decentraland, this can be money, open- source code, interactions, docs and whatever you believe works for DCL.
Capitalize on these projects and make sure to build towards succes, once you believe you made good enough progress you should be able to get some support for your proposal, if this doesn’t work out keep building until being recognized!

I have more years experience in the builder required skills than my age. I’m here for art, the money is only to pay bill and so that I can spend my time on DCL instead of print a report for billionaire. It may be the most arrogant thing you’ve said yet - tell someone in art business since 7th grade before you’re born that they’re here only for the money. Didn’t you get $150,000 in 2023 and still asking for more? I could work for 4 years on what you got in 2023 alone and I live in rip off USA, don’t even have health insurance where you get for free there. Hmm you know what they say 1 finger pointing, 3 point in reverse. I tried making the laser tag for sale, even made marketing videos, capitalizing just like yall tole me to do - $6 in sales. It’s capitalism for thee, but socialism for me.

All I say is capitalize on one project rather then building 4 mid ones, make a long term project and then ask for a grant. Its advise you don’t have to follow it.
OG, the truth is they’re scared. Look at the metrics - you’re beating many projects that have received as much as 1/4 million dollars and you have not received a dime! They told you KOA was the #1 game of DCL, when you’re there right next to it - wouldn’t that make your weed farm robbery #2?? Huh I would think a GAMING PLATFORM could fund their #2 producer with some small petty cash funds. Maybe the money claimed to exist is actually missing. That could explain a lot. I told you to quit wasting your time here. You tried it their way selling the guns and it’s a complete failure. There is zero viability for the software teams here even when they show top metrics.
As far as I know KOA is doing a SDK7 conversion right now, they have a very large game and this cost alot time when a game is that big. @DCLDating correct me if I am wrong, but I believe once they’re back their return will regain its old stats and even more.
What I see now is you showing them being at 19th which is not that great for 40k, it’s very low and easily achievable. I believe everything within the top 15 is better achievement and when you get into top 10 its greatness…

LoL this is not smart at all, Duel Arena and Weed farm aren’t the only 2 scenes in Decentraland so these metrics weren’t boosted or reduced by neither of the 2 games with a significant impact you want to do a comparison here is one for you:
