Introduction
Hi DAO people! Here’s Gino from the Gov Squad reporting on the latest updates from our team regarding the development of our Governance platform and the entire decision-making tooling for the Decentraland DAO.
Highlights
I’ll summarize some of the highlights, but as always, you can check out our Releases page to see the entire changelog for the Governance dApp and
our Project Board on GitHub to see what we are currently doing.
- We made the changes needed for the Grants Program freeze voted by the community.
- We started the work to enhance the UI of creating proposals and updates on the Governance platform. Currently, Markdown is supported but almost no one uses it due to its complexity. We will revamp the publishing tool with a visual styling editor so styling text and adding media to the proposal does not require using markdown syntax.
- New notification type: Comments on Proposals.
- New event type: Comments on Project Updates
- Added a visual indicator for proposals that are ending soon

Next steps
We started working on the new Projects view, focused on the lifecycle of a DAO-funded project after the proposal had ended. This will allow DAO members to quickly see the most important info about a project without having to go through the entire proposal content.
