Ordinal is getting crazy, more people are flooding into Ordinal to buy some crazy meme coins. So why DCL cannot be one of the meme coins that go to the moon? It could be an easy and funny way to promote Decentraland to the BRC20, ordinal’s dudes. And it does not cost the DAO anything.
Call to action:
I spotted a BRC20 token called “$DCL”, we can inscribe (mint) it any amount we like until it’s inscribed out(each inscribe costs a few USD in BTC as gas), and let’s make it to the moon, and shill the BRC20, Ordinal community. You can search for it by yourself, or use the link below.
Notice: If people got FOMO into it, it might be a good investment for the inscriber with multiple times profits, and if it cannot get FOMO, it is just a few dollars, so the risk is low.
There’s no use case to have a $DCL BRC20 token to shill. The current sentiments to inscriptions in Ordinals are purely speculative. It would be a better use case for Decentraland to inscribed NFTs such as wearables in Satoshis to further decentralize the assets and guarantee availability. However, i would still prefer storing NFT assets in Arweave as they are more flexible while Ordinals, just like Ethscriptions have size limitation.
I love Ordinals. I was present in the BRC20 run earlier this year.
But I agree with MetaRyuk. I think this is hype-dealing, hoping for FOMO.
I think Ordinals and more so Ethscriptions might be awesome for token-gating opportunities. Recursive ordinals might allow for 3D assets to be hosted, but as MetaRyuk mentioned, size limitations may present an issue for DCL’s use case.
