Introduction
The Exodus team has made great progress during the first month of this grant period.
This month, Exodus hosted an in-world Valentineās Day event. The team also began preparations for the first major update of the grant, the Farming skill
Highlights
We hosted an in-world Valentineās Day event from February 10th - 20th. During the event, players were encouraged to gather resources and participate in Exodus gameplay. Players could collaborate and contribute to a community shared goal, and receive prizes when the goal was reached. Players received both in-game items and a new DCL Wearable skin.
During the Valentineās Day event, we gathered user statistics from our server-side sessions. During the event, Exodus had:
- 1590 total sessions
- 296 unique users (accounts)
- Average session length of 0.82 hours
- 5.4 Average sessions per user
- 1307 Total play hours
- Peak of 24 concurrent sessions
- Distributed 1568 wearable skins
In addition to the Valentineās Day event, our team focused on preparing the Farming skill as the next piece of content to be released for this grant.
On the backend, we have implemented and tested API methods for:
- Planting seeds in a patch
- Scheduler to grow the plant after specified time
- Ability to pick plant and place into inventory
- Ability to crush plant into powders
- Added item details and stat requirements
For the design side of things, we have designed images and 3D models for:
- Farming plots/patches
- Growth animations
- 10 Unique plants
Blockers
We had no blockers.
Next steps
The next primary objective for the team will be to complete the front-end integrations for the Farming skill. This will involve implementing the 3D models, animation handlers, and items into the game front-end. We will then focus on the release of the content into the game.
We are also planning and preparing the back-end for the potion making skill, as well finalizing the design requirements for potions.
We look forward to hosting the Exodus Easter event towards the end of March!

The Exodus team wants to thank the DCL community for this opportunity to participate in the grant program! The grant support is very helpful for our team and helps us provide a unique gaming experience to DCL.
Since we have not received any funds from the grant, we cannot disclose any financials yet. (We placed some placeholder values below to allow us to submit the update).
