Blockers

  • Escalation of discussions and increasing toxicity began to impede community ability to focus on crucial DAO matters and maintain a healthy environment for consensus building and collective decision-making.
  • Low attendance to some sessions and meetings forced us to reschedule them and other events.

Next steps

GENERAL: Started with the development of a follow-up Community Pulse survey, incorporating both the previously asked questions and new ones focused on current community concerns, to create a midline assessment. Will also focus to continue enhacing the moderation system and the implementation of the CoE with an internal restructuring.

OPS: Will continue to focus on working group facilitation and the creation of new synchronous instances for debating proposals, maintaining the Legislative Tracker, facilitating the 3rd RFI round, and populating and improving the “Facilitation Corner” workspace with new content. Following the progression of the DAO’s virtual headquarters, through the bidding and tendering process. Keep improving and creating awarenes about “Onboarding Sessions” and creating more comprehensive documentation for new joiners.

Additionally, and in coordination with the Foundation and the Governance Squad, will keep working on the building of a pipeline for the progression of platform enhancements, with features and developments to be proposed, supported, and financed by the DAO.

COMMS: Will continue to build out the Brick by Brick session on Discord and building out educational community events for creators and builders. Already have several sessions lined up for next month, with Bay Backner and the builders selected for the Decentraland Music Festival. Will also be reaching out to outside community members to showcase their process.
Main focus will continue to be posting content on Twitter, Youtube, Instagram and TikTok and more education content focused on onboarding and educating new members.

View this update on the Governance dApp

Today, we had our monthly meeting with @Fehz and @fractilians from The Facilitation Squad, and the project is on track. They showcased progress, and we checked their GovApp Update and their Public Roadmap. They also added comments in the Notion cards, and they plan to include more links as evidence of what they are doing with the community.

Regarding their roadmap, most of the things are running on a monthly basis, but they shared some changes in the cadence and format of some events. For example, they plan to engage more with the Brick by Brick sessions and have fewer X spaces and in-world meetups. Additionally, after an open session, they decided to bring in someone technical to assist grantees in migrating to SDK7. We will have one more monthly checkin on December to close this grant period. Thanks for the meeting and congratulations for the great work
