Introduction

Hello from the Ambassadors Program, Kim, Gino, and Canessa. The Ambassadors have begun planning and hosting their events!

Highlights

We started this month by introducing 16 individuals to the Ambassador Program! We hosted two
onboarding meetings held at different times so that Ambassadors around the world could join at a time
that was the best for their region. As language is at times an obstacle, some Ambassadors used
translation software to have the meeting converted into their native language in real-time. The meetings
are also posted on our Google Drive so they are available for each Ambassador to translate.
The Ambassadors were added to the official Slack channel where all communication will take place.
They also have access to the Notion Wiki, which hosts all the resources they will need to host their
events. We are adding more resources and guidelines as they become available to us.
We had one event hosted on January 22nd in Singapore by MetaRyuk. We will be adding a fully detailed
breakdown of the event in the next grant update. We have another Ambassador planning an event at the
University of Reading in the United Kingdom. It will have a digital component, with the talk streamed
into Decentraland and users able to interact with the students on campus.
We have a media training event scheduled for February 1st, hosted by Jo Hunt and Ana Lezama. This
event is available to listen in live and will be recorded for translation purposes.

Next steps

We are encouraging Ambassadors to fill out their Pre-event forms so that they can begin to have their
events approved. The Slack channel allows the Ambassadors to share ideas with each other and find
solutions to problems together. Ambassadors are planning their venues, and communicating when they
have questions. We anticipate more events throughout the month of February and March.
Each Ambassador is required to fill out a Post-event Report, highlighting a summary of their event. This
will let us learn as we go, and will allow each Ambassador to learn from each other.

We had the monthly meeting with the grantee.
The project is progressing with a delay of approximately 2 months. You can check the roadmap here: Notion – The all-in-one workspace for your notes, tasks, wikis, and databases..
In the meeting, we discussed how they will execute the rest of the project, and for that, we proposed to make a financial planning to understand how to support the re-creation of a contract according to the estimated time frame to close the grant. That is why the contract remains paused until that issue is reviewed.
Regards and thank you!

Yesterday we had the monthly meeting of the project. They are making good progress and several ambassadors have already held events.
The contract remains paused since in the update they must submit (already delayed) they will explain the new timeframe they propose to meet all the original objectives of the project. With that, we can request the creation of a new contract according to that period of time.
Any other comments can be added here.
Regards and thank you!
