Introduction
Overall, this rebasing month went well based on our roadmap. We have modified our scene in various ways to improve the user experience. We have upgraded our leaderboard to fit the needs of our new seasonal contest, and we have organized two big events to enrich the activities in the scene. Lastly, we have been engaging with the community on our social media platforms and Twitter, and doing debugging work along the way.
Highlights
Scene Optimization
- We are adjusting our model to make the scene less laggy. We have been suffering a lot from the non-working asset bundler, which caused a model-not-display issue for many players. For this part, we are constantly in communication with the foundation team and currently awaiting their feedback for the adjustment. Additionally, we can shrink the size of the images to reduce the scene size and improve the laggy issue. However, due to the recent frequent updates by the foundation, we are still facing some issues with our scene, and we will be actively addressing them along the way.
- We introduced a way in our team to track the wearable or NFT claiming statuses.
Experience Level Up
- We have repolished the leaderboard feature to fit the needs of our new seasonal contest. A new UI button has been added for players to track their monthly ranking, and they can now click on the hourly, daily, or weekly leaderboard to check the detailed rankings.
- To cope with the future issues that might be constantly introduced by the platform updates, we are exploring a new way for players to earn coins and redefining the coin collection as an alternative approach to obtaining coins.
Two Bi-Weekly Events
- Gold Doge Talk #1: A Twitter space where we discussed the future opportunities in the Metaverse. We invited creators from Decentraland and other platforms to the panels, exchanging their ideas on this topic. We streamed Decentraland during the Twitter Space and organized a few small events in the scene to invite people to enter Decentraland.
- Monthly Creator Contest #1: A logo competition to engage the community.
Social Media and Community Management
- Maintaining and operating Twitter and Discord to keep our Decentraland players feeling engaged.
Debugging
- We have added a few more debugging notices for players to help us identify the issues easier.

Since this is the first month of our grant period, we have not received any funding yet. After communicating with the GSS, we decided to record all expenditures in this month as 1 USD and allocate all costs from month 1 to month 2.
