[DAO: QmeCP5v] Do you think the application fee for a collection should be refunded, at least in part, if the object is not accepted?

First of all, the fee is quite high.
From what I see, at the moment selling something is more of a gamble than a sure thing.
On top of that, you have this fee and the possibility to literally trash 500 dollars for nothing.
I don’t find this very fair.
I think that it would be much more fair that if the object is not approved, 4/5 of the fee is given back, while if the object is approved, the fee is kept in the DAO.

  • I agree, high fee can’t be lost this way.
  • No it’s ok to see 500$ lost based on the opinion of a single person.
  • Invalid question/options

This proposal is now in status: FINISHED.

Voting Results:

  • I agree, high fee can’t be lost this way. 1% 616 VP (8 votes)
  • No it’s ok to see 500$ lost based on the opinion of a single person. 98% 591,724 VP (6 votes)
  • Invalid question/options 1% 5,528 VP (3 votes)

The fee is basically just a filtration process.
I’d recommend making friends with the right people.

Just for piece of mind, I’ve also never seen something rejected in whole. The committee is usually really fair and allow revisions throughout the process as long as you’re not breaking IP, you should be ok!
