Blockers

  • Publishing this update was delayed due to confusion regarding the new submission requirements. Met with GSS for clarification.

  • Due to realm main issues, many hours were spent on bug fixes, manual SHOAP drops (which requires manually collecting wallets when users don’t register on our guestbook) and were reported via Slack and the DCL Discord Help channel: Discord

  • Transitioning from SDK6 to SDK7 for #DCLMF23 presented many plaza-wide complications which were all reported in real-time to the DCL devs in Slack, including:

  • excessive lag

  • not seeing other users’ emotes

  • inability to access realms or log in at all
Due to the above-mentioned issues, our onboarding efforts were thwarted. We were also unable to collect usable recordings from within Decentraland to use for future marketing and onboarding purposes.

Next steps

Content creation and 2024 event planning.

Contacted DAX to calculate monthly metrics using dcl-metrics.com and have included those numbers in this document here: TRU Event Metrics - Google Sheets

Moving forward we will manually calculate these for each month.

Wait, how does Nico E count as an onboarded artist when he’s been around Decentraland since 2017/18?

How does it count as “on track” when GSS has been dragging its feet about how they are failing to reply to requests for proper information about how they are living up to their promises and getting no reply from Shelly?

The irony of Spottie going on a rant about scam grants yesterday while renting to these guys…

I guess might as well ignore it, doesn’t seem like they are gonna do anything about it

I like what TRU Band Room and ShelleyVan do, but I dont like that most (maybe im wrong) of weekly events on TRU is Twitter Spaces. A lot of useless trash talk which have zero value for Decentraland. Is this proposal relates to this? Is grant money goes to Twitter Spaces too? (sorry I dont know all the things about TRU). But If yes, then, my opinion, that Twitter Spaces should be removed from Decentraland in-world streams. It’s not content that worth of paying money.

I prefer to join events from artists, like Ash. I wish there were more artists, like him. A lot of vibes, emotions and relaxation.

Twitter Spaces don’t give me any emotions and makes me only nervous, and this infinite notifications on stream from Discord… Meh. Annoying. I like music, I like DJ streams, I like educational streams, I like interview streams. But Twitter Spaces is the worst thing that came to Decentraland. (my opinion)
