Hi community!

I wanted to share some updates regarding the ongoing grant. Please note that all relevant information and discussions will take place on the forum, as the grantee will not be participating in the DAO’s Discord.

This week, the Grants Support Squad (GSS) conducted an analysis of the grant and requested a further review by the SDK team. We also reached out to the grantee to ask for an improved roadmap and raised our concerns with them directly.

While we are aware of some complaints, there is no objective reason to revoke the contract. The grant was awarded in accordance with the current governance process and the grant program. Therefore, we have decided to continue, with a few key adjustments, which are outlined below:

  • The project duration will be extended to 2 months instead of 1.
  • We have requested a better roadmap
  • We requested the grantee to create Documentation on how to use it
  • We have also requested that the grantee provide a server with 3 months of support after the vesting contract ends. Further support will be at the grantee’s discretion.
  • We will be holding a “Testing Tuesday” event on October 29th with the community to review the project.

Key Action Items:

  • Request to the DAO Committee for a vesting contract with two milestones:
    • Start date: October 1
    • End date: November 30
  • Create a roadmap, You can view the public roadmap here: Project Roadmap
  • Create threads in Discord clarifying that the grantee does not participate in the DAO’s Discord, and all questions should be redirected to the forum.
  • Schedule Testing Tuesday for October 29.
  • Plan a potential Town Hall video for November.
  • Check-in scheduled for October 20.
  • Final check scheduled for November 1.

Today, we have the first monthly check-in with @pablo from the Clickable Browser component. Is on track and almost finish. Please add a comment with all the evidence related to DAO Recognition. Remember that Testing Tuesday is scheduled for October 29th, and we need to create a video for the Town Hall on 31th of October.

Here is the link to the drive folder: Google Drive Link.

They have added more features than expected:

  • Impact Metrics Dashboard
  • Dockerized server
  • Simplified user text
  • General improvements

Thanks

I would like to ask, have the components been built now? Can it be used on land via components?

yes, the repository is here, where you can also find instructions: GitHub - pabloes/decentraland-browser: A clickable browsers prototype to navigate the web inside Decentraland

you can install it in your scene through NPM (nodeJS) & SDK
unfortunately, the new editor doesn’t support external smart items yet for easier drag&drop as it was in previous editors.

a Spanish video on how to integrate using the new creator hub, have been just uploaded https://youtu.be/o2oyJ_FcYaU

There was also this video to be presented in a DAO townhall but I think it wasn’t given the current DAO status: townhall-presentation-browser.mov - Google Drive
