Introduction
Advanced Documentation Update #4
Highlights
I spent big amount of time writing Advanced Documentation articles at the end of June and half of July.
Here is a list of new articles:
- (Drafting) Modeling Base Mesh - new article with step by step guide that covers creation of base models like body, hands, feet, head, explains reasons why artist should create and use them, and also contains general information about Blender tools, modifiers, required for work. There are some empty information left, for example topology cheat sheet and explanation of working with Blenders collections, I will write that info a bit later.
- (Drafting) Modeling Wearables - new article with step by step guide that covers creation of wearable models from base models created in previous article. Explains all patterns required for creating base models of wearables for future preparation to sculpting and baking.
- (High-Poly) Polishing Wearbales - new article with step by step guide that covers preparation of wearables for sculpting and baking. Explains three modifiers (Bevel, Subdivision, Multiresolution) and how to prepare models to work good with this modifiers.
To deal with delay a bit faster, for now this articles don’t have images and videos, they will be ready a bit later.
Blockers
There are no blockers for now, and I will continue work on new articles for 3-6 hours a day, as much as possible.
Next steps
For now, most of tasks, from my side, required for DAO HQ project is done. That means, that I have more time to focus and work hard on Advanced Documentation, and already have a lot of progress since the last update.
Additionaly, I made an update to my roadmap. It covers delay gap and have new deadlines for next articles. Dates in roadmap orient on 3 hours of work per day. I would like to ask Grant Support Squad to review new roadmap and vesting contract, if it’s possible.
For now I’m working around 6 hours a day on articles and I believe that I will be able to deliver Advanced Documentation a bit faster than dates in new roadmap.
