Should the problem/opportunity outlined be refined and taken to the next level?
Problem Statement
Decentraland dao solves financial issues worth millions of dollars, but there are no clear rules and laws that regulate financing.
Dao has
Security Advisory Board.
-DAO Committee.
Wearable Curation Committee.
Revocation Committee.
Who does financial planning?
In the comments they will write that everyone who has voting rights participates in budget planning, but this is not so, in modern political systems this is called populism, this is when a cunning minority deceives and robs the majority.
Proposed Solution
We need a clearly formulated document - constitution? A general law on the rights and status of Decentraland. Instead of stupid games that are financed by millions of dollars, it would be possible to hire a group of international lawyers and formulate a document that would be the basis and foundations of everything.
Target Audience/Customer Base
Decentraland Constitution where strategic development goals and rules for rational financing will be clearly formulated and spelled out.
Why is this relevant now?
Remember that there is not much money in the treasury and when it runs out the “doll houses” will move to other metaverse)
If it helps I am a lawyer, with some experience of Constitutional Law. (Please note my law firm’s address at 122,-7 as we have an office there). Your we intentioned call does have challenges from a DAO perspective, namely, from an enforcement point of view. Essentially, is someone wants to do something in Decentraland, and they pay for it themselves then the only constitutional boundary is the underlying code. Much of the voting in this part of the metaverse is about the expenditure of funds held in trust, which is rightly voted on. If a Constitution is created, how is it formed and how is it enforced? Does Decentraland want to establish a court of Constitutional oversight? If so how it selected and what powers will it have? Will it be able to expel? (Which would amount to an avatar death sentence), and how would you stop the real person from coming back with a new avatar? These questions an a whole lot more would need to be answered before such an approach would be available. A great deal of thinking (and probably coding) would be needed for such a proposal to work.
