Introduction

Grateful for grant renewal. Excited to continue despite budget constraints. Restructuring tasks and working to improve the Grants Program framework. This update covers the period from November 19th to December 18th, providing an overview of our recent activities. Our new grant period is from Dec 1st to Apr 30 2024. We present this report here as the new grant’s update window begins in just one month.
Thank you!

Highlights

Here is a status update on activities of the month, along with the impact metrics on our proposal based on our three main goals.

Goal 1: Support the grantees

This month, we welcomed 3 new grantees. Besides, this month we are still working with 3 grantees from legacy (grants that passed before March the 1st 2023) and all of them are finishing their grants by the end of the year. We are actively working with 44 projects nowadays.

  • We allocated a total of 84.5 hours to interact with grantees, and provide support during this month.
  • This month we have identified 3 problems and requests from grantees, 2 were solved, and the others are being addressed by our team.

Goal 2: Foster transparency

  • We have made Formal Requests Public, to provide transparency on the concerns raised, the status of the process and arguments.
  • We are making public roadmaps with the main goal of opening our reviewing process. This month we have updated 36 public roadmaps with our grantees.
  • We’ve updated the GSS Public Roadmap.
  • We are always encouraging grantees to make their monthly updates, and you can check those out in the dAPP.
  • Every Monday the GSS is sharing the planned tasks for the week in our Discord Channel.

Goal 3: Guarantee an efficient use of the DAO treasury.

This month, we analyzed 0 concerns from grants, 3 are being analyzed and 0 grants were elevated to the Revocations Committee.
According to the recommendations made by the Revocations Committee on the E&E case, we updated the Revocations Committee framework. Specifically, Art. 6 Conflicts of interest and the procedure in consequence explained in the Art. 6b Conflicts of interest - procedure

Improvements to the Grants Program

  • Proposals: On December 12th a Poll that the Grant Support Squad published passed to improve the DAO Grants Program. The first stage of this proposal is to Review the Grant Request Processes which has already been published, which closes today.

  • Grantees Metrics: We are gathering impact metrics along with the grantees, in compliance to the new requirements of the grant program framework voted earlier this year. However, each grant and category has its own unique characteristics that we are addressing in order to improve them.
