NFT Collections Description

Endstate is the lifestyle brand that combines the physical and the digital to connect people with what they’re passionate about. Endstate was founded by Bennett Collen and Stephanie Howard in 2021 out of a lifelong passion for sneakers and a deep understanding of the power of NFTs.

To date, Endstate has released 8 drops with plans for many more in 2023 and beyond.

Drop 0 (3 colorways) (Nov 2021)

Ukraine Aid (Mar 2022)

Blitkicks (May 2022)

Drop 2: Statecraft (4 colorways) (Aug 2022)

Red Bandanna Sneaker (Sep 2022)

DeVonta Smith’s Honey Drip Sneaker (3 colorways) (Sep 2022)

The David Ortiz Children’s Fund Sneaker (Dec 2022)

Endstate U: New Heights (5 colorways) (Feb 2023)

Endstate is dedicated to ushering in the future of product ownership where all objects of value in the physical world have a digital counterpart.

Through Endstate, fans of our collaborators get a pair of limited edition sneakers to wear IRL, a collectible NFT, access to exclusive experiences, and digital sneakers that can be worn in the metaverse. That’s where DCL comes in: the undisputed leader in digital land, wearables, and community.

By bringing the Endstate collection to DCL, we are taking a huge step towards this entangled future. Endstate will make significant contributions to DCL’s ecosystem by introducing world class brands, athletes, and creators to the platform on a regular basis.

Hi there, Voted: No because I don’t think this project is big enough to warrant a linked integration. Only having 8 drops and less than 150 holders is still pretty new from my perspective. I believe Linked Wearables should be for much larger projects. Publishing wearables for a collection of 8 (not counting the colorway options) would only be $1,200 and again I see Linked Wearables as a feature for projects who have a lot more pieces and holders.

After speaking to the Endstate team, I have decided to change my vote from No to Yes as they have provided information that they have well over 400 unique holders. They also have sold ~1,500 physical sneakers and linking those sneakers to DCL I think would be a great benefit. They also shared their plans of scaling this initiative and even more details on how the project as a whole work and I’m very impressed. It’s not too often that you find a capable team with good manufacturing and good strategy.

For those who aren’t sure I would highly suggest researching their twitter thread and other forms of media as there is a lot to learn! Their team is really easy to talk to and eager to expand!

I look forward to possibly seeing this integration and activation going forward!

Voted yes! Highly capable and talented team.
I am a holder of the drop 2 NFT and IRL sneakers–the product is excellent quality and would love to have a set to match in DCL!

Hi Endstate,
It’s great to see your project come to Decentraland! At this time I notice that you have not minted your name. It costs about $60 to mint a name, and it shows an investment into our ecosystem. That fee also goes into the DAO, and helps fund projects like this. If your linked wearables are approved, all the curating fees will then be paid by the DAO. To me I don’t feel comfortable voting YES on a project that will take funds from the DAO if the creators haven’t done the least amount of investment back into our ecosystem. I hope this doesn’t come off as too harsh, but if projects truly want to have the support of the Decentraland community, they need to explore how they can show commitment to the project. Please let me know if you have any questions on how to mint your name, I’d be happy to help!

Hey Canessa! The team is on the same page with you. If you check the general chat in DCL DAO discord, you will see that the team has tried to update their name but could not because there are technical issues with names being properly assigned. The dcl team is already looking into it and it will hopefully be fixed soon  :).

Thanks Emina for letting me know! It sounds like they’re approaching this the right way, and I appreciate this info :+1:

How do these work with resale of the NFT? Can people sell these after receiving the physical item? How can it be determined if the physical item has been claimed?

Hey @Existential14!

People can definitely sell the NFT and/or the physical pair of sneakers linked to the NFT, the only caveat is they will have to facilitate the exchange of the physical item themselves. There is not a perfect marketplace solution for this exchange of entangled items yet, but Endstate is working on this.

Every Endstate NFT that has been redeemed for its physical counterpart has a trait that reflects that, so it’s very clear to any potential buyer.
