The new Shop page UI is now a completely separate experience from the Marketplace, but it doesn’t include all of the features and asset categories that were available in the old Marketplace
I would like to see Land, Estates, and L1 Ethereum Wearables included in the new Shop. I believe these could be integrated through an on/off toggle, category filter, or separate tab, allowing users to easily switch between different asset types
I understand that the new Shop is designed to better support creators of L2 wearables and emotes, and I think that is a positive direction. However, L2 wearables and emotes don’t represent the entire Decentraland Marketplace ecosystem
Since the launch of the new Shop, I’ve noticed that trading activity for Land, Estates, and L1 wearables on the Decentraland Marketplace appears to have declined significantly. The new separation creates another hurdle for both new and existing users, who now have to navigate between different experiences to locate, search for, and purchase different types of Decentraland assets
Rather than splitting the ecosystem across separate experiences, I believe the Shop and Marketplace could be optimized to provide a more unified and intuitive experience while still giving L2 creators the visibility and support they need.
Some ideas to consider:
Include Land, Estates, L1 wearables, L2 wearables, and emotes within the same Shop experience.
Add tabs or filters that allow users to quickly switch between asset categories.
Provide a clear distinction between L1 and L2 assets without requiring users to leave the Shop.
Improve search and discovery so users can find all Decentraland assets from one place.
Make it easier for users to understand where to buy, sell, and trade each type of asset.
I’d like to hear the community’s opinions and ideas on how the new Shop and/or Marketplace could be optimized or redesigned.
What would make the experience more intuitive for both new and existing users?
