Abstract

With median participating VP at ~8M, the current Thresholds of 500K no longer make sense.

Motivation

It is important that VP Thresholds reflect the continually evolving participation rates within the DAO to ensure decisions are made collectively and with broad community consensus.

Specification

Increase the VP Thresholds of POI, Name Ban & Catalyst Node Proposals from 500k VP to 4M VP.

Conclusion

This proposed change aims to increase the VP Thresholds for POI, Name Ban & Catalyst Node Proposals to 4M VP, aligning them with current standards of participation in the DAO.

I think a 4 million VP threshold is to much for POI and Name Ban Proposals. I feel like 2 million would be fair.

No, I voted for 2M VP prior because 4M VP is too high.

Personally, I think 2M is too low given the current participation rates. The last 5 approved POI’s passed with at least 7M participating VP and the most recent Name Ban Proposals amassed 9-10M VP.
