I believe we need the complelety shut down the DAO & let the Foundation take over all its core functions.
Call it centralization or whatever you will but this is the only viable & permanent solution.
Yemel & his team are more than capable of outperforming the entire incompetent, ineffective, inadequate, irresponsible, unsuccesful, unproductive, incapable DAO team.
We need to shut down the DAO & all it’s operations including the DAO Discord to release these payroll puppets out of their misery.
While this is still a waste of time, and JasonX is a bitter bigot upset that he can no longer use hurtful language in the DAO Discord, who does not understand how the DAO or DCL work on a fundamental level, this might be his least awful proposal yet.
At least now we can vote “no” instead of “invalid question,” as is usually needed when voting on something he proposes.
Though I’m open to being convinced this is also an invalid question
@JasonX no we should not completely shut down the DAO. In addition, please do not associate my name with another person. I am not a male nor have I ever stolen anything from HP.
I think we’ve seen enough violation of the Terms of Use:
For example this community voted & passed governance proposal which never got enacted. See link below. DAO has failed on all areas, all terms, under all conditions & circumstances. Foundation team to take over makes the perfect sense, even if it means centralized.
Hi @JasonX, this Proposal has been very confusing for the DAO to address.
I believe all misconceptions stem from the use of the term to Allow.
In English, to Allow usually simply means to Permit.
Based on the content of your Proposals, it appears that you may be using the principal meaning of to Allow which could be coming from your native language, which is to Make Possible.
Which means going all the way to creating the tools necessary for allowing the building of ENS-based websites.
It is unclear that the DAO understood the magnitude of the endeavor that was put forth, when it voted in favor of the Proposal.
At any rate, what is needed now is the start of a Pitch / Tender / Bid motion, where you can spell out the Specifications in even clearer terms, and where teams can get to bid on a contract to create this, if the DAO considers that this is the thing to do for moving forward.
Calling for a scuttling of DAO operations so that the Foundation be allowed to implement this is both overly rash, and illogical, as if I understand correcly, even the Foundation has not shown interest in working on implementing this feature.
