In July 2022, Decentraland Foundation introduced Decentraland’s SDK 7 through the SDK 7 Manifesto. This document outlined the vision to refine the SDK to its ideal form - an open protocol for creating metaverse content-. This envisioned SDK would be open to any platform that chooses to adopt it, fostering collaboration and accessibility in the metaverse landscape.

After months of dedicated effort, incorporating valuable community feedback during alpha and beta releases, Foundation announced that SDK 7 is ready

So, the question would be:

Should the deliverables of projects funded by the DAO through the Grants Program be built or compatible with the last stable Decentraland SDK?

This approach ensures that grant-funded projects align with the most current and robust technical standards, allowing for enhanced performance, integration, and overall quality.

Seems like an easy yes, but I was wondering, how long will DCL support SDK6-based builds going forward?

Yes, SDK6 builds already cause us issues on newer tech stacks and any grants should be up to date with the latest technology.
