I’m happy to share that the recent DAO poll “Reduce DAO Committee Salary” has passed.

Summary of the Proposal

The proposal suggested reducing the current monthly salary of $2,400 for DAO Committee members in light of the reduced workload following the deprecation of the Grants Program and the overall slowdown in DAO activity. The intention is to ensure sustainable and responsible use of DAO funds.

The next step involves further discussion on what a more appropriate compensation level should be. Several community members have raised thoughtful points about the need for transparency around the DAO Committee’s workload and responsibilities. Before we move forward with finalizing a salary range, it’s important to better understand the situation and receive feedback from DAO Committee members.

Questions for DAO Committee Members

To help guide this process and support an informed community decision around DAO Committee salaries and structure, I invite all DAO Committee members to provide transparent insights on the following:

1. What are your current primary factual responsibilities as a DAO Committee member ?

Please be specific about recurring and one-off responsibilities.

While the DAO has a formal list of expected duties (see below), it’s important we understand what you’ve actually been involved in personally.

The main responsibilities of the DAO Committee are:

  • Update proposal status in the governance platform (promote to enacted, passed, rejected)

  • Keep updated smart contract lists such as: POIs, BanNames, Catalysts and Linked Wearables.

  • Manage the Grants Program (deploy, fund and revoke vesting contracts)

  • Execute Treasury Operations (do transfers, swap funds).

  • Calculate and execute compensation for the Wearables Curation Committee.

  • Reimburse gas fees to the DAO Committee.

  • Refill gas tank of Polygon Relayer periodically.

  • Attend bi-monthly Town Halls and provide general community support.

  • Give feedback to proposals, evaluate risks and implementations pathways.

  • Contact external organizations in the name of the DAO.

2. How many hours per week, on average, do you dedicate to DAO Committee work ?

If possible, break this down by category, such as:

  • Proposal reviews & platform updates

  • Community interactions & Town Halls

  • Grants Program actions (reducted, no need to break down)

  • Treasury operations

  • General admin or communications

  • Any other category you deem relevant

3. Can you provide a summary of the DAO-related tasks you’ve completed in 2025 so far ?

This could include any funds transferred, committee decisions, meetings attended, communications etc. Please be specific as possible.

4. Are there any public or other reports that reflect your work or Committee activity ?

If yes, please link or summarize them.

This information will go a long way in helping the community better understand the current workload, evaluate fairness in compensation, and explore whether adjustments are needed.

Why don’t we just replace Tobik with some willing to more the the bare minimum? Maybe all of them, but Rizk seems to be putting in an honest effort, and while my respect for HP isn’t where it was in 2024, i still think he is an important part of the community.

@HPrivakos AND @rizk seem to be holding things down I think a new group needs to be made on who has ambition to provide the dedication needed to sustain these outlined duties. I tip my hat to these gentlemen for doing their part and providing exeptional support and efforts.
