Should grant requests begin with a 1 week poll as part of a 2 step grant process?

Grants and governance processes take too long to be approved, this makes us slow in executing relevant improvements.

I like the idea that publishing a poll is a necessary preliminary step to be able to apply for a grant, especially for those that exceed an amount threshold, but I don’t like the idea of going from 5 days to 1 week.

Imagine an applicant who wants to propose an improvement of less than $1000, if we increase the grant period from 2 weeks to 3 weeks, it is most likely that no one will be interested in publishing low-amount offers.

I’m abstain off now due to these loopholes, but I’d like to see a Draft detailing this with pricing thresholds.
