Besides us loyal DCL investors, I believe everyone else has earned quite a bit, right? Shouldn’t it be time for everyone to show their sincerity and invest together in DCL to get their own VPs and create prosperity for DCL together?
This is not about who has the most money.
It’s about increasing the community of voters and rewarding those that have contributed.
Why didn’t you put your name on the list?
There is no ways to delegate a specific amount to a specific address right now without transfering that MANA to a new address, which is both costly and operationally dangerous.
Quite a few names on this list have since advocated for having their VP returned or left Decentraland, so a blanket delegation like this is not a solution. But I do think it’s a good idea, share the VP to new voters who WANT to be here, and hear some fresh perspectives in the DAO.
hahah thanks @BET for the shout out and recommending I as many should get some VP. I def would be down. however I have to admit not sure would solve the current issue. which is we have more voters then we have builders. A majority of the builders I have noticed pretty much left since I can name who is left on like one or two hands. I can only theorize that was because they got tired of the uphill battle of the negative feedback only vibe that has been set by bucket crabs with whale VP and not and the 3 on on pay roll trolls . so yes having more VP holders could fix but if they just only give negative feedback an never say anything productive a builder can pivot there proposals on to provide a better service or product I think its just going to cause more of the same. this game of thrones type drama drama.
This is a wired idea but mabye if like a business we incentivized the VP holders a cut of the fruits of success like they do with CEO’s or upper management in companies things would be a lot more productive. i do not have any vp like 300 or so, so dont have stake in this idea but who knows. regardless open to this idea if you think will work. either way if not all good thanks for thinking of this idea.
Regular voting is a lot of pressure and I can understand that.
But this time there is no pressure. Maybe we can add a clause to redistribute the VP if someone has a year of inactivity.
Maybe those that have left Decentraland have left because they never had a say in the decisions. (Most asked politely for VP and received nothing.)
The people that have helped build this platform need to have a bigger say in the decisions of it’s future.
We can’t have whales turning up and deciding for us.
If this is not the solution then please give a better one.
