Tobik - DAO Council Postulation

Hello,

My name is Tobik, and I’m a Decentraland DAO committee as well as a content creator. I create content for brands and I have made a lot of videos focused on DCL. Currently, I’m working on an upcoming livestream show that I plan to gamify with crypto incentives and stream directly into Decentraland.

I strongly believe that the future of Decentraland should focus on achieving the highest level of decentralization possible, with the DAO serving as the main driver by funding key initiatives, including the development of clients and other critical tools.

Recently, the Decentraland Foundation has shifted its focus toward building a more gaming-oriented product. While this direction has its merits, it has also led to a gradual departure from some of the core decentralization principles that once defined the platform. My vision is to ensure a healthy balance—a dynamic “tug of war” between the DAO and the Foundation, where the DAO advocates for a more open and decentralized protocol while the Foundation works toward creating the best possible product for a wider audience.

You can explore my understanding on Decentraland through my YouTube channel: https://youtube.com/TobikCC.

Thank you for considering my candidacy!

Tbh: I’m posting mine because I’m happy to take this position if it’s required. That being said, there are already good candidates such as @Fehz, @HPrivakos, @maraoz and @esteban. Please go support them.

While this vision is admirable, this postulant is relying on a prior knowledge of capabilities which most of the DAO community is not likely to have.

The content of this postulation is rather bare, from a postulant who is holding otherwise a rather important position for the DAO.

This is seriously undermining confidence that there is proper official awareness of the potential legislative impacts of this whole council formation.
