So I minted 2 pieces of wearables that got approved from the forum admins. So I am obviously talking about these 2:
-Queen Bee Halter Top ~Price: 10 MANA
-Queen Bee Skirt & Boots ~Price: 15 MANA
Next, we have the total removal of the collection from the store. I dont know for what reason and I dont care to be honest. And then we have the absolute removal of them from the game, since I cant wear any of them, but I still can see them on my opensea account/decentraland marketplace.
Now somebody could probably think that I am rich and I can spend money like that. Especially, 25 MANA. So, shouldnt there be a punishment to the one’s that approved it and let this flow to the market!? Shouldnt I and everyone that minted it get a refund from creator ?! And shouldnt this be happening in all circumstances?! Is this fair?!
Still doesnt change the fact that you all are approving shit people buy based on one Design. Then you halt the item make the creators change them ending up with a different item design the person may not want. You all really suck at curating some times and should stop with the bs and be more thorough. if i give you a nft based on a sale then change the meta data youd call it a rug. You all are rugging people every time you do this bs. Get it right the first time.
I know the whole situation about this wearable, and I can say that its nothing to do with the approver. there is a dispute between creator and designer. If they are going to remove it from the store and disable it from your account, the creator should do a refund.
If you purchase a wearable nft expecting one thing buy it and then own it. It shouldnt be able to be canceled from your account or changed to begin with. Outside decentraland or anywhere else this happening would be a called a rug. The whole safety net of this in thier because of IP infringement is one thing. The Decentraland Cloak, Halloween mask, The multiple layer one models reskinned and textured that just went through. I dont think its right to be changing peoples nft’s. It should be almost a auto burn and refund. You dont go buy any item outside crypto just to have its feature style color or amenities change after purchase. Its weird and as OP stated isnt fair. Its like a bait and switch and in lawsuits that usually doesnt go well. They make a good point other peoples conversations or not. Its sad in the first place this wearable confrontation happened between two liked Citzens of Decentraland. Chalk it up to alpha stage development i guess we will see more of this especially once smart features and more start getting added to old items.
