The next DAO Townhall will be announced here and through the usual Decentraland community channels.
Council & Treasury: The Operations Proposal was successfully executed, releasing almost 3M MANA to fund DAO operations for 18 months. Outstanding debts have now been paid, the Polygon gas tank was funded for around six months and the Treasury Mandate is moving forward with Vanguard.
Wearable Submission Fees: Gino presented the proposal to reduce the fee from $100 to $25. The Foundation would cover $20, meaning creators pay only $5 for the first six months. The proposal also introduces an open-source automatic validator and reduces the curator committee from 14 to 3 members.
Foundation North Star: Esteban shared the Foundation’s new North Star: increase the number of creators making a living through the platform, supported by better discoverability, creator tools, platform stability and easier payments.
Community Discussion: Topics included banned users, ideas around IRL merchandise integrations for creators and potentially moving future DAO Townhall streams to CBD Plaza
This Townhall was streamed live in-world to CBD Plaza for the first time.
Topics discussed:
Council & POIs: Canessa covered recent Council activity and the current blocker around approved POIs. The proposals have passed, but cannot be applied yet because control of the POI contract has not been handed over.
Mobile, Bevy, Buildathon & Treasury: Regenesis Labs shared new mobile test results, including guest mode increasing the share of users reaching in-world. Gino also covered Bevy’s rollout across discovery, Creator Hub and multiplayer infrastructure, the financial dashboard, and upcoming work on LMT3, wearable fees, auto-validation and Friendzone Buildathon updates.
The mission statement passed in November 2024 required prominent display across all DAO communication channels, governance interfaces, forums, official website, and documentation within 1-3 months of approval. Where specifically has this been published, and if it hasn’t, who is responsible for the failure to execute a passed governance requirement?
The same proposal required clearly defining and distinguishing the roles of the Foundation, the DAO, and all governance bodies, with those definitions reflected in all relevant documentation. Where is that published definition, and which body currently owns that responsibility?
The POI at -91,75 shows as enacted March 18, 2026 in the official governance export. POIs submitted after that date are now visible on the map. This one is not. What is the on-chain transaction hash confirming execution, and why is it not displaying in the client? Add the location -91,75 to the Points of Interest
The official documentation states no single company can take away a user’s space or identity. Which entity operates each production service, holds its administrative credentials, and has the ability to restore it without another operator’s cooperation? This information has not been publicly documented. What is the DAO | Decentraland Docs
