[DAO Proposal] MetaZoo Spring 2021 Wearables

Summary：

Please vote to give permission to MetaZoo International’s development team to launch the Spring 2021 wearable line.

Abstract：

MetaZoo International (“MZI”) started as an idea between Decentraland community members Sango and iZoo. Just a few short weeks ago we embarked on a journey together to build a massive complex featuring a diverse range of artists and other digital creations. The featured artists at MZI all came to us organically as the complex was being built, and we gave them the option to distribute POAP Tokens to attendees, and at our genesis event we distributed over 5000 POAP Tokens to over 800 Decentraland users.

With our 2021 spring collection we are introducing two new outfits into the Decentraland metaverse. A pair of black and white MZI branded hooded jumpsuits will make their debut on the scene, both topped off with a matching ballcap. The serious collectors will be interested in the MZI Glow Cap, the Glow Shades, the black and white MetaZoo Glow Striped Joggers, and the MetaZoo Retro 1 Sneakers which feature a baby blue glow. We will also be releasing longly awaited Rave Hoods in three different rarities and will be offering one variant to claim for free (just pay gas).

Motivation：

To introduce long awaited wearables such as the Rave Hoods and (red “laser eye”) Glow Shades, and to establish MetaZoo International as a player in the Decentraland ecosystem.

Specification：

The MZI team (led by DCL community members Sango and iZoo) have developed these wearables and will deploy them on the blockchain. We would like to offer our supporters and the Decentraland community the ability to claim a single Cap and Hoodie for free, along with a panda Rave Hood, the user would just need to cover the gas charges. We intend to offer these on a first come first serve basis and we are opposed to the gasless options for now as we want to encourage a fair distribution, even if it takes some extra time.

The Cheetah Rave Hood, MZI Glow Cap, Glow Shades, MetaZoo Retro 1 Sneakers and MetaZoo Joggers will be offered for sale at an approximate price of 100 MANA (depending on issuance cost). The BlackCat Rave Hoods will be offered for sale at an approximate price of 500 MANA. A handful of the paid Glow wearables and Rave Hoods will be set aside for the founders, designers, and others who helped us along our journey, and earmarked for use as rewards in events and to encourage new users to sign up to Decentraland.

Hi Metazoo your new designs are amazing! I would love to collaborate with you to turn my OBJ 3D printed fashion into garments for decentraland that are also 3D printed, are you interested in an innovative project like that? Hope to hear from you soon! Best Danit Peleg

UPDATE FROM METAZOO: Hey all! Thank you for all the love! Unfortunately we can’t edit the original post, but after some private discussions this past week with a few influential community members, we decided to make some changes to our original proposal. In short we slimed down the collection to under 10 pieces by eliminating both the black and white hat/hoodie/joggers. We also reassessed the supplies/rarities, and designs. Not to worry, we have returned with a beautiful black leopard print “BlackCat” hat/hoodie/joggers, which also match the mythic BlackCat Hood :D…check out the updated proposal below :smiley: Thanks for your support!

I think it would be better to wait for the new system to mint new wearables as the current system is flawed (very costly to vote and it shows up as accepted even with 75% disapproval).
