Thinking this could be fun. Comic style speech text bubbles.
Don’t know why it hasn’t been done.
The chat function will continue to work. For those who don’t want to see the speech bubbles there should be an option to turn it off.
If I remember correctly, there was a Developers AMA call with the DAO about 3 months ago and I believe there was alpha on them working on this feature. I’ll have to find the link to the recording.

Would love to see this, as long as it can be toggled on/off in the settings! Lots of great games throughout history have used chat bubbles very effectively. (It also gives nostalgia of 20+ years past)
Agreed. On/Off switch inside the backpack settings. Easy done.
