How to set reasonable price?

Hi DCL fam, How should we set the price for each rarity, helmet cost 15 Mana For Epic level and 25 Mana for Legendary level is it appropriate?

I am also very curious about the answer to this question. Since there are many variables(rarity, quality of your design, how special is it, market conditions, etc), It is very difficult to find a clear answer to this question. my pricing strategy is to start with a low price first( first 10 units for 5 mana, next 10 units for 10 mana) and then gradually increase the price. so that I don’t have to make a discount later and I don’t put the high price buyers in a difficult situation at first.

My approach with pricing: my first wearable was submitted for approval today. I made the items EPIC and am pricing it at 2 mana each. With every release I do, I will incrementally increase my price. I think it is more important to get your wearables out in the world first and build a following of people who like your designs and that should lead to the increase in value of your wearable.

I’m making the OG Astro suit, priced it at 15 mana each as they are epic but I do worry about the price, I dont think I will ever go lower however I do agree that it is more important to get the wearable out there so I will try to do some airdrops and marketing but imo higher price = reserved for potential future buyers

I agree. Im actually holding back on releasing multiple color ways, so that I can increase the price in the future for a colorway, as my presence in the field gets a little bigger. So for now, I price my items more affordably but I do not release all the versions of it at once, this way i can reserve some for later.

This is my pricing strategy for a legendary full-body suit.

  • 5 pieces(1-5) for giveaway.
  • 10 pieces(6-15) > 10 mana
  • 10 pieces(16-25) > 25 mana
  • 25 pieces(26-50) > 50 mana
  • 20 pieces(51-70) > 100 mana
  • 15 pieces(71-85) > 150 mana
  • 10 pieces(86-95) > 200 mana
  • 5 pieces(96-100) > 300 mana

Honestly it depends on you, you are a brand, if you want to be know as the guy that sells very cheap is ok, if you want to be known as the guy that sells very high is ok, the only thing you should not do is to decide a very high price and then lower ir drastically, just dont do things that you wont like to be done as a buyer

Starting high going low is the worst you can do. I agree 100% but the market is being flooded with cheap wearables compared to 6 months ago so im curious to see how the market evolves. I will experiment with larger collections for lower starting prices as everyone seems to be wearing something cool these days.
