Introduction

How we doin Decentraland Community? Howie Doin here with our monthly update on the Atlas Analytics grant project! As always, don’t forget to check out the new features at: https://data-dapp-dev.atlascorp.io. As a reminder - we’ve completed the open sourcing of the application, so be sure to check out the code at atlas-analytics-os · GitLab! Would love to see pull requests or feedback from the community now that you can see how the figurative sausage is made.

Highlights

As mentioned last month, this was a month for content production. We’ve been working on creating some tutorials as well as promotional content for the service. Expect to see that released in the coming months.

We’ve also taken steps to further reduce the cost to host the application. Our grant only has a few more months left, and so we’re taking steps to make the last few months of DAO grants last us as long as possible while we work on a subsequent proposal. We understand the DAO has been working through some reflective moments and is considering trying out some new strategies. We at Atlas Corp are likely to be deeply involved in those conversations; I would expect our passion for our decentralized metaverse home and our frequent demonstration of turning investment into productive assets owned by the community would make our point of view relevant.

Otherwise, expect to see some kind of proposal to keep the service going in the coming month or two. It would be great if between now and then an interested, capable party could deploy and host the infrastructure thereby reducing our need to pay service providers to keep the service going for the community. This is not the forum to litigate future DAO grants, so we’ll leave that to the literal forums.

Blockers

No blockers this month.

Next steps

As mentioned last month, the platform is now fully open sourced, and the platform remains fully operational. All excess development fees not used will be used to extend the life of the platform beyond November 2024, when this grant is set to expire.

To reiterate, we are still looking for community members interested in participating in case studies or testimonials to expand the set of content promoting the platform and Decentraland at large. Interested scene owners or deployers can reach out to me howieDoin on discord - you guys know how to find me.
