@Doug-NFTWorld even if we don’t agree, I appreciate you sharing your take in a civil way and not stooping to the level of other comments in this thread. I can understand where you are coming from.
I have always had disagreements and emotionally charged interactions with HP, but the fact remains: HP is a long-standing member of the project who has made an enormous contribution to Decentraland and the DAO (even if I disagree with much of it).
As I understand it - though I could be mistaken - he is frustrated by the unreasonable expenses, high employee salaries, and the lack of tangible progress.
IMO, rather than continuing to dismantle an already nearly dead DAO with nonsense proposals and unethical “star voting” tactics, wouldnt it be better to try to reach an agreement with the members of the DAO Committee ?
For instance, these funds could be transferred to a multi-sig wallet designated for specific Decentraland-related expenses, expenses that would be agreed upon by the DAO Committee members, Regenesis, and the DAO Council - as well as to provide them with one-time bonuses in recognition of everything they have accomplished.
We could draft a proposal on the forum to gauge the community reaction. Perhaps, as community, we might be able to reach a consensus.
I am convinced that this approach would be far MORE productive than paying external firm with absolutely no guarantee of results, especially given the complete uncertainty about where such efforts might ultimately lead.
Hi LordLike, I appreciate you weighing in and trying to find a constructive path forward.
I have no doubt that HP and Rizk would much rather receive a one-time bonus and move on than face legal action. But the core issue is that they were given a clear responsibility by the DAO: to enact governance proposals that have already passed, in a timely and orderly way. That hasn’t happened.
For example, the +500 ETH currently sitting in the multisig they control came from MANA tokens that were taken from the Aragon Agent, swapped into ETH, and the only remaining step was to return it to the Agent, which they never did.
I don’t believe the right solution is to send funds to a new multisig under their control so they can oversee spending and give themselves bonuses. The assets should be returned to the DAO treasury (the Aragon Agent) where all other DAO funds and vesting contracts already live. That’s the proper place for them.
Hi Monotributista, thanks for your reply.
Just to clarify: I meant a multisig under broader DAO oversight, not only under their control. Spending from it would require consensus and clear conditions.
I understand that returning everything directly to the Aragon Agent may be the ideal outcome. But ideal conditions are not always possible in reality, and sometimes a compromise is required to move things forward.
So far their request that every new multisig member must send passport photos over Discord feels pretty unreasonable. That policy was never applied to them when they originally took on the role, and it honestly comes across more as a way to stall the process than a genuine security concern.
If there’s any realistic middle ground that actually gets the assets returned to the DAO and ends this situation, I’m 100% open to it and would be happy to coordinate making it happen. If their concern really is KYC, that can be arranged through a law firm acting as escrow, but not over a Discord message. Though that feels like a separate conversation that won’t happen in the scope of this specific proposal. I’m happy to chat about it. cc @HPrivakos @rizk.

Who in their right mind would send passport photos over a discord channel be it for KYC
If they hadn’t done the same for KYC why are they requesting someone else to do it?
Like what @Monotributista said, these are nothing but stalling tactics and the way it’s looking both are going to end up in prison for fraud ![]()

No surprise here. Where was that 8.5 million VP to pass the 2030 plan when it actually could have done something good? Nice job whomever you are.
