Hello @METATIGER !
All good but the file is too big (3.7mb)
Try to compress texture and thumbnail images with this: https://tinypng.com/

Bless @fabeeobreen should be good to go.

Ok @fabeeobreen we’ve fixed it and Stoney has uploaded it again, please check again.

When will this Editor learn to count? Sometimes you’ll get a warning and sometimes not. Or you get a “file too big” warning even if the files are way below 3MB together :joy: I hope there is not again a thumbnail/marketplace bug later :innocent:

Almost there guys: @StoneyEye @METATIGER
“You can upload up to 3145728 bytes but you tried to upload 3314149”

  • Reduce the emission/diffuse textures from 1024 to 512 and compress it again, this will help

That will result in a total loss of quality of the glow details. Look, our uploaded ZIP is 2.6MB, why does the Editor makes 3.1MB out of it? Does it uncompress the thumbnail? Here, look yourself:

https://www.metatiger.art/temp/?dir=Stoney

It’s not our fault if the Editor messes up here. We got no error message and the sources are below the limit. Please make an exception, and this general issue must be solved by the devs, not the artists or curators.

The archive on the builder is 3.16 mb, i cant really make any exceptions because there is an hard block on file size.

  • The builder force the thumbnail to 1024x1024 and this increse its size.
  • male/female -diffuse/emissive all 1024x1024 means = 4 x 1024 textures.
  • Reducing only the 2 for the emissions to 512 should not impact much the quality of the wearable and reduce the total file size

Well, I’ve tested it before and a 512 texture doesn’t look that good if spanned over a whole Upper/Lower Body, actually it looked terrible and I also prefer single surface baked textures to speedup the ingame rendering.

Nevertheless I’ve managed to reduce the size of the PNG textures using some invisible softening to optimize the PNG texture compression.

Please check again. Should be below 3MB now.

Thank you. But I can’t resist mentioning that the current process is full of unnecessary obstacles from a creator’s point of view, only puts off the creators and urgently needs to be revised.

It would be best to throw the whole old process in the trash soon and integrate it into the new client right away as soon as possible, e.g. with drag & drop of the GLB from Explorer into the client so that you can also see instant changes, which is another annoyance how many steps it takes to see a simple change to the model ingame when developing it for a much better workflow.

But I’m sure you already know that. :innocent:

Bless @fabeeobreen Can you push changes when you have a sec. I added hide hands. I thought I did that but something must have happened during a re upload. TY
