I only updated the salti wearable. The other two wearables are the old models.
I am so sorry for the confusion. I was trying to save time and I only accomplished more work for you. Please accept my apologies.
ok wrong pink one, ill go through the other model
Hi, this is what i found on the Salti helmet. the following 14/33 hairs are clipping (only counting clipping the helmet itself and not the strap)
-
MHair 33
-
MHair 31
-
MHair 30
-
MHair 24
-
MHair 23
-
MHair 22
-
MHair 19

MHair 15

MHair 13
-
MHair 11
-
MHair 9
-
MHair 8
-
MHair 7
-
MHair 5
Could you adjust it to get more towards a 75% rate of not clipping?
Thank you for your time and patience. Iâm trying hard to create a wearable that gives people choice of what hairstyle they can wear. With the other option, the user would only have two options of style dictated by me, the creator. With this option we are working on, they get many more.
I assume you are referring to 75% for both Male and Female avatars?
The following hairstyles:
MHair 5 - cornrows
MHair 8 - double bun
MHair 15 - punk
MHair 22 - ponytail
MHair 23 - punk01
are obviously clipping and the helmet would have to be comically huge to cover them. It was my hope that some of them would be allowed because they are clean pass-through situations. They look more purposeful instead of accidental but ultimately itâs your call.
If that isnât acceptable, I will work to enlarge the helmet to eliminate the clipping for these hairstyles:
MHair 7
MHair 11
MHair 19
MHair 30
MHair 31
One thing I am additionally wondering about is whether the changes will actually be enough because the hairstyles in-world on the Goerli network:
are different than the in-world hairstyles on the ETH Mainnet:
Iâve shown the double bun hairstyle to demonstrate the obvious differences. However, the Keanu is more subtle. Even the names of some of the newest hairstyles like the Elvis Wannabe are totally new.
Thanks for this information. i have contacted the devs to get them to update the test net hair to match the main net so we can properly test them
Even if they were to upload the current Mainnet meshes onto the Google Drive or post them in the repository on GitHub it would be helpful. I am willing to load all the GLBs into another Blender file and check that way. In fact thatâs easier cuz it eliminates the back and forth with exporting the GLB and uploading to DCL just to check for clipping.
Iâm happy with whatever updates the devs can provide that creates a consistent tool-set across the DCL Stack.
Hey Sango! Is there any way we can help here? Weâre hoping to utilize the remaining momentum from Pride to keep introducing new builders. Thank you!
Im waiting to hear back from the devs once they have updated the test are with the new hair models so i can properly test it. i will send them a message to chase them up about it
@AwedJob why not just hide the hair and then give people the option to âunhideâ the hair if they choose?
This is an excellent idea CJ.
@Sango - would this be an agreeable solution? Hide the hair and publish the wearables as they are rn?
Hi @AwedJob , i have just got back from being away. The devs have said that the test area has been updated now so you can either test and adjust to fit the hair or set hair to hide as previously suggested
Welcome back! Thank you for responding with a couple of options for us to try.
I will discuss with my team and let you know what we decide.
All three hard hats have been updated with the âhairâ override/hide. Weâre all set to green light this collection!!
perfect could you also add helmet, mask and tiara to the overrides list too. than its all good to be approved
Updated! Thank you for your support here
This collection has been approved
Thank you for all of your feedback and assistance during this process!
I updated the three meshes for these wearables. I noticed that the textures on two of them were incorrectly set to ârepeatâ instead of âextendâ. I also increased the scale of the hats by 10% so more of the hair meshes would work.
