I will check collection now!
Thank you! For some reason the glasses aren’t centered in the editor, but they were centered in Blender so hopefully you can help with that or it looks good on your side!
Hello @annezannesilver,
There is something wrong with wearable, looks like skeleton/weight painting is missing, you need to connect glasses to armature with bones and set weight influence of head bone to 1
Thumbnails with background are not allowed, please remove background and keep some transparent gap around borders
okay, I will try my best to connect it to the bone. Are you on discord? Think you could walk me through that?
I uploaded the model with a transparent background!
Thumbnail looks better now, but object in thumbnail overlaps borders, please add some gap between object and borders
In this tutorial series you can check how to attach object to bone and assign weights (52:30 minute covers all steps)
Thank you so much! I will look at the video now. I changed the thumbnail to give it space around it.
where do I upload the updated glb file?
Hey @annezannesilver, go to collection, click on wearable, and in next window you will be able to edit uploaded files
alrighty, I think I did it all correctly now.
Hello @annezannesilver, now I see head and mask without any bone influence, that’s incorrect.
Okay I uploaded the file and it is weighted accurately when I test it in blender but how do I test it in the editor to make sure it is correct? Do I test it with the emote? Cause when I do that, I the visor doesnt move with the emote.
Hello @annezannesilver
When you use emotes and mask moves (or not) wrong in builder, that means that in Blender it’s not connected to armature and weight painted to head bone vertex group right way. Make sure that you parent mask to Armature with “Automatic Weights”.
Then do weight painting (select all vertices of mask and assign them to 1 to head bone vertex group). And do not parent object directly to bone, this will not work anywhere outside of Blender.
The video that I sent before explains everything right way, so make sure to follow it exactly how it’s shown and explained.
Thank you!
There was a chunk of the video that was blurry but let me rewatch it tomorrow morning. I worked through the steps five or so times with ChatGPT for a few hours today and couldn’t figure it out.
Okay. I fixed it. All looks good now.
Hi @annezannesilver, collection approved!
