Just to let you know that we already have multiple collections on DCL and we already discussed with the team as well with @Shibu last few months ago about the wearables thumbnails and he told us that we cannot put borders on them but the logos and the disposability of them are okay for publishing so i heard that there were new guidelines but we have a game in DCL from now 3 years of existence and we have an identity to respect so i hope it’s okay for these ones and the next ones coming because we cannot change our visual identity as they are utility wearables that lots of people are actually wearing and the “Magik Wearable” tag needs to be on the thumbnail as they are not a lot of place in the wearable description @fabeeobreen
Hello @NairuZa !
Cool collection! little adjustments needed:
Durin’s Axe [MW] : materials/textures limit is 2. Can you reduce them?
Sylivris Krown [MW] : As it is right now it completely clip with hair. Morever tris limit for top head is 500: i suggest scaling this arounnd the head, reduce tris count choosing Tiara category. Or you can keep the same tris count but you hide hair/helmet/tiara and you actually move it on top of the head. Otherwise you can combine this with your custom hair model and upload it as hair.
Logs Backpack [MW] : There are some holes in the geometry, check them out. I don’t think mask is the best category for this backpack. What about create and use upperbody for this one? this will give 1500 tris budget instead of 500.
About thumbnails:
Updated guidelines let you use logo on thumbnail. You can’t add extra graphics tho, and you need to place the logo in the bottom right corner.
As we said we already talked with @Shibu about that sir plus i already saw multiple logos on some other thumbnails @fabeeobreen that some other approved!
Then we have deposited into our integrated company the tag “Magik Wearable” as a brand sir so it’s the same as we collabed with our own other brand @fabeeobreen !
Logs Backpack: We cant put it on upperbody as we have multiple utility wearables collections that will overwrite that wearable and we don’t want that! You clearly didn’t read my first message, the wearable is actually 680 triangles, if we reduce it more it will not look good, make an effort it’s not like this is super bad wtf i saw others got accepted for 350 tris more than the expected 500 tris sir !
Krown: You are actually using top head categoy, not hat. Hat limit is 1500 because 99% of time it hides hair. You can keep same tris count by hiding helmet and hat (if you use tiara category for this) or you can use hat category and hide tiara and helmet. Either way you chose you need to avoid major clipping with base hair. Please move it on top head or enlarge it slightly so it goes around the head.
Backpack: I was just giving you a suggestion here. Right now it’s on mask category tho the item has no visible mask. Add a mask geo or add earring geo and switch to earring category. Make sure you close the holes on the backpack.
All thumbnails you see with extra logos has been approved before the last guidelines update.
You can keep your logo, you need to place it as guidelines. Example below
As we already have our Utility Wearables from the last event and all of our logos for the communication identity is on top left corner, could you be okay if we just leave the logo of our game on the top left corner and we place the text and the tag where you placed it?
As for the thumbnail I don’t think that would be fair for other creators having the same issue with precedently approved wearables. Neither i think this will be respectfull for new creators. So please update thumbnails following the updated guidelines. You will be able to update them also for your past collection, if needed tag one of us curators and we will promptly enable your collection.
About backpack: I don’t think that super tiny stick justify mask category. If you want to use the same geometry you could place that small stick as earrings (then switch to earring category) or you can consider adding a more mask-like piece.
Fabbeo is right, after some back and forth with the dev team it’s best to maintain a consistency. Specially for the future, avoiding overlapping with logos. One idea that come up was to upload logos apart from the thumbnail so it’s more flexible but right now we don’t have that in place.
Is it too much to ask to move the logo to that area?
I will modify the thumbnails because i’m obligated & forced to do it and you don’t leave us any choices which is really not nice from you but i’ll still do it @Shibu and @fabeeobreen
This decision from the team is really not wanting people to get inside DCL but you don’t care…
